    a) If he's saying this in the press, he'll more than likely be saying it in the dressing room - the depressing b****** that he is. b) As if the players just go home from training and sit in a dark room with their fingers in their ears going "LA LA LA LA LA LA". They'll know exactly what he's saying. There has NEVER been a manager in football who says the same things in the press as he does in the dressing room. The "assumptions" surrounding Pardew on here really are getting a bit silly. I don't assume he's a poor manager, I know it.
  2. That inch away was a total fluke and your heart throb was shite once again and shown up for what he is, a shite manager.
  3. We've probably told them to come back in a few days so we can't spend it.
  4. Ashley wouldn't have to sign it off. I'm not sure Pardew would still be here if he did have a clause.
  5. For once I fully believe the ITK stuff about Pardew only getting a small payoff. Mike Ashley does not pay anything more than he needs to, there was no way he needed to give Pardew an 8 year contract with the risk of a huge payoff so I don't believe this is what he did. A 4 year contract would have even been excessive. *insert Jonas 'nah, no way, nah' gif here*. Llambias gave his mate the contract so it is possible he didn't put a clause in.

I have stated on more than one occasion in here that I actually like Pardew and am willing to give him time, why? The utter choas he's dealing with a poor squad assembled on the basis of price and resale rather than any kind of footballing philosophy or vision and whether these players are actually suitable to play alongside one another. A transfer policy that prefers to avoid spending money. And lets not even get into JFK. Fact is what people have ignored repeatedly is the squad is severly lacking, we own no good strikers and before you mention Cisse he's a load on the side and frankly sums up the entire transfer policy, he is 100% useless outside of the box, 0 ability to hold up the ball or bring others into play and is only good at finishing-in the modern era thats a poor striker the end. We have no width, which means our attack plan is always through the middle because we have no one capable of actual width that makes us very easy to nulify and no plan b. And with our main striker completely dependent on service rather than able to create something for himself that makes us a poor side. Bring into it full backs who aren't that great at attacking and even worse at defending (santons best of the lot and even he has his daft moments) and we're simply a poor side who ridiculously overachieved in the 5th place finish If I buy a whippet and cloth cap and go around drinking brown ale, I'll be to the Geordie stereotype what you are to the Irish stereotype.

    Shut up Thomas, I know.
  9. Replacing Pardew is the biggest single upgrade we could make.

  11. Pardew is the main single problem with our club and you're under-estimating his influence massively. I don't think upgrading and single person at the club is more important than upgrading Pardew.
  12. That's what can happen if you dare to put a keeper under pressure. Even a mistake from Hart is being used to have a go on us. Could we have a thread where mentioning Pardew/Ashley/Kinnear is forbidden? Where in either of those posts does it mention the names you do? Also, do keepers make mistakes when under pressure? I thought not.

  15. I can't really enjoy watching a team we probably have to finish above playing and actually competing against a team that ripped us apart less than a week ago. It would be much more enjoyable if Cardiff were being ripped a new arse.
  16. How has the ref allowed that Cardiff goal to stand? I thought that would be classed as cheating.

The only team I'm confident of us finishing above is Palace.
  18. Swansea are also playing well at Spurs.

I think we'll have to score just to get a draw if Fulham are able to create chances for Bent.

I heard it once and couldn't understand why, the same goes for the Shola song, why?
  21. Marveaux is a good player who wasn't in his best position yesterday, he still wasn't the worst player on the pitch and two others should have been off before him. The first change should have been Shola off for Gouffran with Marveaux moving more centrally.

Offer stands btw. £50 will go a bit of a way to drowning your sorrows in May. Might as well take a few bob from one of the deluded ones who thinks we'll stay up. Why would somebody take evens when they'd get better odds at a bookies?

Took a good few months to get some confidence back into players who could barely pass the ball by the time Allardyce had left, get them passing and moving, and finding a system that worked well with what was available (and sticking with it). We need to do exactly the same thing now as we did then, the only problem is that we're unlikely to find somebody who can lift players like Keegan. The players do need a lift and I don't care how much they're paid, they need motivation and confidence and I don't think they have much of either.
