People are only mentioning the spend of other clubs because we need players. I'm sure everybody would be more than happy to get the players we clearly need for nothing.
I think Man City might struggle at first, they'll have plenty of the ball and get nowhere then score a couple of quick goals just before half time. I think we'll match them 2nd half because they'll have done enough and will let us back into the game without us actually getting anything.
A large part of the debt did come from making good decisions, the largest came from employing the wrong managers and trying to bail the wrong managers out, mainly Souness.
I'm not sure about all of them but I have heard that one of our former players is refusing to go to St James' again until the gates are moved to a more fitting place. I think the player concerned is called Stephen Spence although I've never heard of him or seen him play.
That really is a terrible state of affairs.
To be fair to who ever mentioned laughing stock, I would expect more people to laugh at them because of where they are than not laugh.
The gates are not the long lost treasure they were made out to be anyway, something has been made out of nothing.
You sound like Pardew.
I would have a go at them, he'll probably have us defending for most of the match. If he does have a go at them and plays an attacking team then he'll have done enough for me.
