I've never said that they are deliberately underperforming so I don’t know why you’ve brought that one up. If you do manage people then go into work tomorrow and take away whatever tools the people who work for you need to do whatever they do and come back and tell us how well they get on. Also, go in tomorrow and set them targets and tell them that everything that has ever gone wrong is down to them and them alone, again, come back and tell us how they get on. If you have inexperienced people working for you, tell them that they're not good enough. Tell them that they're going to fail and tell them the reason that they'll fail and come back and tell us why they failed. While youre at it, go outside of your office and slag them off within a distance which allows them to hear what you're saying about them. Oh and start looking for another job because you're going to be out of yours if you do that.

That's far too simplistic. The players we have are far better than we’re seeing and they’ve shown that, whether as a team or individually. We were set up yesterday to defend and had nothing to offer going forward so we just couldn’t relieve the pressure in the first half. We had defensive players virtually all over the pitch and they weren’t equipped to do anything positive and we paid for that. It’s the same when you throw far too many forwards on and are unable to play as a team because you have no shape. A football team is made up of individuals who should come together as a team and our individuals couldn’t do that because most of them were trying to do the same job and that doesn’t work. It’s like trying to bake a cake with one ingredient, it will never work. No matter how good or how much of that one ingredient you use, the cake is still shite and that’s us at the minute.

We don't know what is being said, if anything. Sometimes you just give up as nothing you say will make a difference.

They didn't do enough but the game was lost before it had kicked off.

I think some people are massively under estimating the influence that Pardew is having on the players, I've seen shit managers like him in industry and the negative impact they can have is incredible. I bet the players hate what is happening, every last one of them.

This view lets the players off the hook. Oh, they don't like the tactics or don't like playing out of position? The poor dears, they could always f*** off and get a real job. Whilst Pardew is nominally steering the ship (or at least he's supposed to be) and is ultimately responsible for this disastrous season, the players have just participated in our worst home performance in living memory (confirmed by some fans who have been watching since the 1960s). Pardew will carry the can and he should because he is out of his depth and has patently lost the trust and support of the players but Pardew didn't take a corner during the game or hit a sloppy pass, or fail to pick up an opposition player. As clueless as Pards is I'm pretty sure he didn't instruct the players to stand still when they had the ball. Although he's obviously responsible for the amount of aimless hoofs upfield. I'm angry at Pardew but yesterday's gutless performance can largely be laid at the feet of the players who should be ashamed, as professionals, by such a capitulation.

I hope so. No matter how much people take the piss out of the idiots who turn up, at least they turn up.

Our players are all like battered wives, they've had enough of the manager.
-
If we do go down it will not be because of what happened during 1 game, we've had all season to get points.
-
It doesn't make any difference to me, I would expect them to do better if they were paying to play.
-
As if that makes the slightest bit of difference.
-
I would be really surprised if he was sacked at this stage of the season, Llambias and Ashley will remember how things went tits up last time we went down and will stick rather than twist.
-
I do now think he'll go, it might not be during the season but I can't see him being here for the new season.
-
For the only time in my life I will support Sunderland on Monday.
-
Of course, you had to. I would have done the same.
-
You pack of bastards.
-
Fortunately (for a few reasons) not.
-
I think for the first time in Newcastle Online history we've all experienced a first, we've all just been through our worst defeat at home.
-
I did but I meant that I knew what you were getting at.

What he says may be waffle, it’s on the espn website and some morons will read it and take it as gospel. Pardew has had it far too easy and part of that is because of articles on the internet and in papers. The only reason he isn't having it easy on here is because some are highlighting the shit he does, the shit he comes out with and the contradictions. If we were all just reading the papers and watching TV we'd be brain washed into thinking nothing that is wrong with the club has anything to do with Pardew. If people want to write articles then they should expect to have what they write challenged.

Isn't that what happens when a manager loses the dressing room?
