I've just touched on it in reply to Skirge, if your manager tells you that you're going to fail then you will. He's de-motivating the players in a sport which is heavily reliant on confidence and the players have none. The player’s confidence is as weak as Ryan Taylors knees and an early goal had them broken. Don’t under-estimate the negativity that this bastard is using to drag them down. I know the players bottled it today but I can’t really blame them. I’ve had loads of training in how to motivate people and everything he does is basically what you would be told not to do. It's staggering that he does it so often and it's to protect himself, unlike the better managers who take pressure off players by taking it themselves, he's clueless.

If your boss at work tells you you're going to fail then that's what you'll do, he's de-motivating the players and the effect of that is plain to see.

They are professionals, the problem is that they are normal humans and they are affected by the same things as all of us. The team selection screwed us and we had no chance once we went a goal behind so early. Pardew should have made changes within the first 5 minutes and he didn’t. He’s let us all down, the club, the players and the fans.

It was hardly surprising that the players were gutless today, the team selection was gutless and everything Pardew utters to the press is gutless. He's leading and they are following.

He's lost everybody around where I sit, it's just a pity they all pissed off before the end.

Sorry, I'm just so angry and it was either that or going outside and kicking the shit out of the bairns rabbit and I took the easy option.

I hate this useless, shitty, clueless, arrogant b******

To the 5 people who voted no chance, seek help.

He's an abortion of a manager, he really is.

He shouldn't be lying though and he's only fooling one person, well maybe 2 or 3.

I've just heard him on the radio saying that teams above us with 3 more points have had a great season. -

Even Pardew's car-pooling system has clearly been poorly implemented. Pardew OUT. -

My only hope is that the players have been able to get a lift from somewhere, we're capable of winning today if we go about things in the right way and get at Liverpool. -
I agree, I think 2 or 3 goals and it will change during the match because we'll have nothing to lose.

It works by basic maths, 21 years since Keegan was first appointed divided by the number of sacked managers who are since that date, Dalglish, Gullit, Bobby, Souness, Allardyce and Hughton. 21 / 6 = 3.5, if Pardew was sacked now it would then become 21 / 7 = 3 Looking back you did say that we'd gone through so many managers which is slightly different to what I was looking at, but we've had 8 managers who were here as caretakers or short term and not actually under contract. Keegan resigned twice, although one was later found to have been constructive dismissal, you would have to think that a new manager would be aware of our setup and agree to it in future. Roeder was said to have resigned although that is debatable as he was still paid compensation. I'm not trying to dismiss that a clause could be a problem, I just don't think it would be that much of a priority for an incoming manager who I think would have higher priorities. We’re a big club as far as status goes because we’re thought of as one by most people in the game. We have a decent squad of players and that would be a big selling point. Ambition would probably be a negative as ours seems to be staying in the division but you would think the ambition would change if we were after a replacement, if not, why change?
-
Since Keegan first came as manager we've sacked managers every 3.5 years on average, others have been caretakers or walked.

Only 17 managers in league football have longer service than our manager.

I would think every clause would be looked at, I doubt that the compensation clause would be high on a list. If it is then you're looking at the wrong person for any job.

We're both guessing and we don't know what clauses other clubs have in contracts. I've never heard of a manager refusing to join a club because of a contract clause.
