The Gouffran story should be the biggest kick in the bollocks for Pardew as it's proof that his bullshit is getting to the players.
-
Not an easy choice, better do them both just to be sure we got the right one. Edit. Forum or board?
-
It wasn't much of a gamble because they would have gone down if they hadn't acted.
-
I knew it would work short term and that's what they were looking for, they had a problem, they recognised it and they acted on it. This time next year may be different but for now it's worked.
-
You've seen it happening time and time again over the years - bad managers give players ready-made excuses and the players will believe and use them every time. That should just about quash the bullshit that his negativity isn't used as an excuse by the players.
-
He's playing just in front of the defence.
-
Sunderland got rid of the negativity within the club when they sacked the manager, we haven't done that.
-
The Liverpool bench for today was Jones, Coates, Skrtel, Shelvey, Coady, Assaidi and Sturridge. Out of that lot I'd take Sturridge as somebody who can and did change the game, the others are nothing special.
-
They've won the league the same number of times as we have since we were formed. I don't think we were in a position to do anything about the ones they won before we were a club and we sure as hell couldn't have won anything.

We've dropped points at home to Villa, did they have a better 1st 11 or squad than us? We dropped points home and away to Reading, do they? How about the mackems home and away? West Ham at home, Brighton away, Stoke away, Swansea at home, Southampton away, Fulham away? I could probably go on. Not happening, go away.

Are you talking about Souness or Pardew? We went from 5th to 14th under Souness, we're going from 5th to ? under Pardew. I'm not trying to defend Souness, I hated the bloke and what he did to us but Pardew is doing the same now, he's just doing it in a different way.

I was in the East Stand that game and he was given dogs abuse, I still couldn't believe it when he walked so soon.
-
The cups are no good to us, we'd have to play too many games and the players would be too tired.
-
Next season should be better, that's not a given though. Look at yesterday, we were coming into the game after our worst defeat to our enemy since 1978 and he had a week to work with the players. The best they could do was play for 45 minutes and then revert to type. The display was no different from many we've seen during the season and it could easily have ended with another defeat.

Are Llambias and Ashley daft enough to risk going into the new season if Pardew has lost the fans? I'm not sure he's as safe as some people think. I'm sure that they would prefer to keep Pardew because they seem to get on well, mainly because he's an arse licker and is only too happy to big them up at every opportunity. That said, a lot is at stake and I don't think they'll back him at any cost.

If anything, having only two home games might save him from getting too much stick as anger needs to build up. Fans are angry with him and it's not just on here as some try to make out, you only have to listen to Total Sport to know that more people are complaining about him than before.
-
I'm not sure that it was too restrained, I think it was just a case of it being the start and it was stopped by us winning games. We'd brought in the new players who lifted us for a few games and fans didn't have a lot to complain about at that time.

What makes Pulis better than Martinez? I'm not a massive fan of Martinez but he does get his teams playing good football and he doesn't have the money to spend that the two you mention have. If Wigan had Carroll leading the attack they would be much further up the table as they play good football without having a cutting edge most of the time.

I think "You don't know what you're doing" let him know what they thought about his substitutions. It turned out that the changes were due to injuries. He was still given stick and that was mainly because people thought that he was stupid enough to remove an injury free Marveaux and Cabaye. Perch came on for Marveaux and within minutes we'd gone from 1-0 up to 1-1, next he removed Cabaye and replaced him with Bigirimana and within minutes we were 2-1 behind.
-
The fans turned against him when we played Reading and I think they will do it again.
-
Didn't the players say that they won the game for Hughton and that Pardew had nothing to do with the win?
-
I've said the same recently, it does my head in because the only people I've met who repeatedly said it were liars.
