I think we've had too much football lately to go too daft, I just hope we're going to put them under pressure from the off and not try to sit back at any time.
As it stands we need 2 goals to go through, if they score 1 we'll need 3. We might as well go for as many as possible to make it difficult for them instead of going for an early goal and hoping that we can get another when we want, without them scoring.
If we press them back we're less likely to let them get anything and if we make a mistake in the opposition half we've got more of a chance to recover then we do in our own half.
I doubt he'd do that, we've got too much potentially at stake, he'll try to get through, I'm sure of that.
Edit,
It looks like you might be onto something.
That will depend if we can keep our shape or not and how we play the game. I'm guessing we'll be looking to get forward and score goals so it's as much about what we do off the ball as on it.
I can't see Santon making it and don't care about Perch as long as we have plenty of others to pick from. I wouldn't be surprised if Ben Arfa makes it, Coloccini has a chance and Haidara, Tiote and Debuchy can't be far away.
I don't see why we can't win this, hopefully not 3-1 though because that would cause massive problems for Sunday. I'll go for 2-0 more in hope than expectation, we could easily get a couple and keep a clean sheet.
We need to create a venomous atmosphere for them like we did for the 5-1. Quinn and Short walked from a car and they were given loads of stick and the players were given the same as soon as the players’ coach turned up. They were beaten before a ball was kicked and we need to do it again because we didn’t do it last season and they had a much easier day. Intimidate them and they will fold before even getting out on to the pitch.
It's so much easier watching it later than at the time. The goal was a lot better than I first thought and I hadn't seen much of the celebrations from Cisse and Pardew. The celebrations are what football is all about and it's great to see how much that goal and the win meant.
He shouldn't and I've said many times before in the past that he should for this fixture, he's too much of a liability now and the gamble is too great.
