I agree with most of that, I think we lost at Wigan because we'd been through a week of hype which got to the manager and players. I think the defeat will have focused them on what they have to do for the next 3 games. We've got 3 games left which could bring 3 defeats at anytime of the season, it's now up to us to go and get as many poinst as possible and to do that we'll have to perform again and we can do that.

Hodgson would be a joke of a manager for England, look at how he was when at Liverpool. The bloke can't handle pressure and pressure is something which he'll get plenty of if he became the national manager.

Taking Ben Arfa off was exactly the right think to do, the game had gone by that time.

I do count Williamson as he's played more games than Steven Taylor and I'd rather see Simpson in the team than Williamson. Hopefully we will see a new right back come in as well as a new centre back because I've always said that when we field our best 11, Simpson is the weakness both for his attacking play and his defensive game.

I don't know how to reply to that post other than to say that Perch was thought to be shit yet he still got slaughtered when he played poorly.

By the looks of it we might have already seen Ba being lined up for that one, if he's still here. complete and utter load of s***, both of you. Most people in here are saying he was s*** and responsible for one/two goals going in or whatever. Where exactly are they blaming him for the performances of the other players, or the team as a whole? I've been saying since the win at West Brom that Ba looks absolutely shagged after 60 minutes, pretty much every single week. Were we blessed with options that came anywhere near his quality, we could definitely do with giving him a rest for one or two games. Simpson gets the blame for far too much when things go wrong in defence. Williamson cost us the first and crucial goal yesterday yet nobody bothered to bump a thread about him and slag him off for it.

It would have been interesting if we'd scored because quite a few in the home ends didn't celebrate the Wigan goals.

One person has him down as turbo-shit, as for him needing a rest, he's 270 minutes away from 8 weeks rest. Today was a case of the whole team failing to play, not 1 or 2 players.

I can't believe some of the over reaction in this thread. Demba Ba has played well this season and he's one of the main reasons that we are where we are. Things didn't work for him today, the same thing could be said of just about every single player who started for us. He hasn't scored for a while but he's been one of the reasons that we've done well since his return from Africa because he's been asked to play a different roll and apart from not scoring he's carried out that roll well.

Simpson had a poor game today, just like every other player in out team other than Ben Arfa in the 2nd half.

I can honestly say that I never looked at a persons colour and thought of them being better or worse than anyone else and I lived in North Tyneside in the 70's. Obviously some people would have been racist, you get ignorant people in all walks of life. I knew quite a few people who were giulty of racism at the match but were totally different in normal everyday life.

Both as bad as each other, Chelsea were worse.

To be fair to the mackems, racism at our ground was terrible and looking back at it, something should have been done to stop it. I don't think our fans were racist away from football, at the match it was a case of anything goes if it put the opposition players off. I went to the match with a black lad and it was embarrassing, especially as some of our other mates would scream insults at black players.

Started paying in February to cover next season. February 1st /15th is payment 1 of 12. Those joining now will likely pay over 10 months, those joining next month over 9 months. I've only paid one payment which came out this month.

No matter what happens we'll be supporting our team in europe next season, something most of them will never have done.
