Yesterday was one of the most satisfying games I've been to for years, we were brilliant and did exactly what we had to. Our movement and passing were brilliant at times and we controlled the game better than we have for a long time. I don't think it mattered that we were playing Stoke as I think we could have controlled the game against any team in the league. The players could have easily taken it easy at this time of year thinking we'd exceeded everyone’s expectations, they could have assumed that we'd already qualified for the Europa as they had virtually done it. We'd qualified bar being mathematically certain so switching off or playing the game out for a point would have been easy. Instead of that every single player turned up and played at least as well as they have all season, for me though we played better as a team. Yesterday was as good as we've been when you put it into context and I haven't felt as comfortable for years. I was in awe of some of the play we were able to watch from our players, both as a team and individually, I'm struggling to put it into words. I was a bit like a kid at Christmas for most of the game, everything which happened only happened because we allowed it to.

Wigan played Man U last home game, they had over 7,000 empty seats so I think they'll let a few pay at the gate.

My guess is Jill, no male would be seen dead wearing those things.

I think we'll have to wait and see.

The Champions League will be won or lost on points, not goal difference. I'd rather settle for 3 points than go looking for a 4th goal which isn't needed at this time. If we win all of our remaining games we'll qualify.

The tickets went quicker than I had expected so I'm going down without one.

I thought we played the game perfectly today and didn't try to go over the top and blow ourselves out. 3 points next week is worth more than extra goals today so we just controlled the game and have kept something to take in to our next game. I didn't realise that Cabaye was injured, I thought it was a very good substitution and thought the same when he took Cisse off and left Ba on.

Pardew was on Radio Newcastle and he said that he wants all Geordies to get to Wigan next week, "by hook or by crook."

Some of the stuff from him today was world class, his control and passing is crazy at times. The time he trapped the ball which was hit at him with pace on a wet pitch was something special and he laid the ball off perfectly.

Probably not over a season but today he was better.

His defending was top class today.

He was as good today as Enrique ever was at his best.

He got everything right today, he's growing on me.

We controlled the game from the first minute to the last and made it look easy.
