I would get sacked if I had spoken about any disciplinary matter in public.
-
Some will and some will not, same as every other walk of life.
-
The manager said that he might get away with it if he was an older player, or words to that effect, what sort of message does that give out? People are late for work everyday, some more than others, some never, we're all different.
-
I've answered it after you asked so I'll not repeat it.

He must have chinned somebody outside of McDonalds, broken a glass in somebody’s face or broken somebody’s jaw. No, it couldn’t have been that as they are acceptable. Oh yes, he can’t turn up late for training. As a club we’ve set standards by allowing other things to go on. We’ve had the MD streaking across the pitch, we’ve had the owner drinking a pint on the terraces which any of us would have been up in court for. We're not a good club at setting standards, maybe it's time we changed that but it's not going to be easy.

It's not the cost that matters, it's the shame of not being able to get himself in on time that might make a difference, everybody is different.

His maturity shouldn't be the reason for him playing, he should or shouldn't play because he's either good enough or not.

Hughton didn't have his hands equally tied, Pardew decided not to pick Williamson while Hughton didn't have that choice. Hughton put out the best side he could and that's beyond argument. I don't see how that's the case today and Hughton was sacked for the WBA result.

Ranger is 19 years old, it's not unusual for people his age to lack maturity and it's his job to get Ranger to change. I had somebody who kept turning up for work late so I sent a taxi around to his house at his expense, he soon learned that it was better for him to make his own way to work on time. If I was Pardew I would have a taxi sitting outside of Rangers house an hour before the start of training and the cost would come out of his wages. Pardew is old enough to be his father and should know by now that you sometimes have to do things different with different people and at times think out of the box.

Haribos will give them a quick boost because of the sugar and I would guess that the fat levels are trace values so they will do them no harm at all.
-
I agree, he's not dirty, he's unlucky and shouldn't change a thing or he'll lose part of his game.

Do you never look at form and come to an opinion or do you look at everything as a 1 off?
-
We'll never know what might have happened if we had done things differently, personally I think we would have had a better chance with a different line-up to the one we played. Obviously we might have scored and just got them to come at us more, we'll never know now.

I countered what he said with something to make a point, maybe you should look to see what was said and when. I didn’t say “We won't get beaten 4-0 because Spurs haven't beaten anyone by two goals.” I asked why a 4-0 scoreline should be considered, it was just a random number plucked out of fresh air.
-
As if his tweet had anything to do with our result, a nice excuse though. It's not as if Spurs had a real go at Perch.
-
So because we let in 5 against Bolton we would have let 5 in against Spurs? It doesn't work that way, you mentioned 4-0 and have proven that it's irrelevant.
-
We could have put 2 up front and gave them something to worry about. We could have protected our goal better by bringing Williamson back into the starting 11.
-
What are my expectations? Should I not expect that we'll try to win a game? If that's the case then we might as well just throw the towel in now.
-
Spurs haven't beaten anybody 4-0 so why should that one come into it? They haven't won by more than 2 goals in any league game that I know about.
-
Spurs being in the last 16 has nothing to do with our result today, we set up negatively and we didn't do enough to try and win the game.
-
Don't be daft, we've set out a negative team against a Spurs team who before today had only managed to stop the opposition scoring once.
-
People are also suggesting that we can't beat better teams, we can and have.
-
They were both forced errors when we were sitting back.
-
It seems that a few people think we're not allowed to take points off the better teams, the context is, we can when we have a go at them.
