  1. We've got no bargaining power at the club. We've got a manager who is clearly a dead man walking and we're staring relegation in the face so any new manager coming in will get what he wants. I'm sure even the morons running our club can see what is at stake and what we can potentially lose if they screw this one up. I think we've got a very good chance of getting Benitez.
  2. those staying will not matter if they've agreed to his demands.
  3. We can't afford to and I think he'll get whatever he asks for as long as it's nothing daft. We're not in a position to piss about and they know it, even if they have pissed about all week which is a bit of a contradiction.
  4. the f*** they leading with tweets like that for then the c***s Probably because it's different to the others and will therefore get more interest.
  5. Win one more game than both the mackems and Norwich and we're safe, it's not like either are doing well. The mackems think we have a shite defence, we've let in less goals than they have so our defence is no more a problem than their defence. Our players are not motivated, that will change and the atmosphere for the derby will make a massive difference to that result.
  6. His name alone will give him short term motivational abilities, something we've never had for years.
  7. It is but bringing in Benitez is the proof of that anyway. He will automatically become our best appointments since Keegan mk2 and will be our best appointment since Bobby if he hangs around. The club and the whole city will get a massive lift from this appointment if it comes off, most of the negativity will go automatically and I would expect us to stay up because our players are not as bad as they have looked. Motivated players will make a massive difference to us and I think we'll see a huge change in our form.
  8. Are they f***ing serious? Deal with that s*** IF he keeps us up FFS. For now just get him in for the remaining 10 games, we don't have time for this s*** right now! Benitez will never have more bargaining power than now and he would be a mug to jump in, I can fully understand why he would do as much bargaining now.
  9. I doubt he'd work with out lot for too long, 10 games at this stage of the season shouldn't create too many problems.
  10. He's probably the best we can get for this season as every player will know him and will almost certainly respect him and will get a lift just from his appointment, if it happens. Long term, I think I'd look elsewhere.

It looks promising if they've finally asked McClaren in to see them, maybe we have an agreement with a replacement.

I guess you wouldn't be throwing away £1.5 million though.

It appears he wants him to stay if they can't get a better replacement.

He could resign but I don't blame him for not doing so, its not as if all of our problems are caused by him and he would just make things easier for Charnley by resigning so I hope he sticks it out.

The club is being run by dithering incompetent pricks who seem to go out of their way to create new lows.

I said this week, not last week.

Charnley seems almost certain to get the push and it will be deserved. McClaren is the only one who has shown any dignity this week and he'll probably be the first to go. The people who chased him for so long should also be sacked. I can't get my head around a train journey to a 'secret' board meeting when St James' will have dozens of rooms which could have been used which wouldn't have created publicity. I want McClaren gone ASAP but as usual our club has even screwed a potential sacking up, amateurs.

He might be giving Charnley a chance to un-hang himself. He (Charnley) wanted McClaren, he brought him in so he should deal with him. I doubt for one minute that Ashley doesn't sign off the new manager but I think he will leave the firing of McClaren to the people who will have appointed him and I don't blame him. I would guess that the ramifications of appointing McClaren will be seen at the end of the season and I wouldn't like to be Charnley at that time.

The players would certainly listen to him, even if they've never worked for him, they will know of his reputation and that would improve performances without changing anything with the players.

The sensible thing would have been to have somebody lined up after the Chelsea game, our lot not panicking is what got us into the current situation. It's about time the pricks did panic because they're shit at what they do when they have time to think. Maybe they can come up with a decent solution if they don't think about it. They're as thick as pig shit and every decision they come to makes them look even thicker. If these morons get something right it will be by accident.

Our club is a shambles and we can't do anything right. We've got Dumb and Dumber pissing off to York for a secret meeting that they could have held at the ground and nobody would have known about it. Everything they do turns to shit and they would all be sacked if they worked for a normal football club. We've had 18 days after the Chelsea game to look at the possibility of replacing McClaren and we've failed take advantage of that time. We're the Laurel & Hardy of football and we're run by clowns.
