  1. Scunthorpe aren't even average, they were 7th bottom before tonight.
  2. You reckon we will be in say a month as well? We've shown we're a cut above most teams in the league. It's the Blackpool and Scunthorpe's away on a Tuesday night where we're struggling but this is a poor league and we'll win promotion. Once Chris is allowed to being a few in, in January we'll be alot harder to beat but assuming we do go up, we will have to spend good money, otherwise we'll struggle like Birmingham and Wolves. WUM, you've got to be.
  3. He must be struggling now that he no longer has the 5'9" pensioner in front of him.
  4. He was bigging them up before the game, saying how dangerous they were.
  5. This sounds like garbage, at least we've got the tactical genius doing the team talk. Any bets we see Ranger come on with less than 10 minutes to go?

Who said we should win every game? As for playing as a team, really?

I don't think we'll go up now, I think the players will possibly lose any hope they may of had in being managed by a proper manager later in the season.

He's been voted best manager while playing 11 players who played in the Premiership last season and too many of those games have been less than impressive. Our weekly wage bill will be more than a lot of teams will pay for a full season. We’ve got players who will more than likely play in the next World Cup and have a realistic chance of finishing well. He’s got everything in his favour and he’s still dropped 7 points out of the last 9 and we’ve played just as badly in games we’ve won.

We'll not get promoted with Hughton as manager, I couldn't care less if that is fair or not. He's not up to the job and the games we've played so far do nothing to change my opinion of him.

Any hope I had of us playing 1 season in this division have just evaporated.

This appointment is shit. Today reminds me how bad I felt when Souness and Roeder were appointed and it will end the same way.
  12. Ryan Taylor was the player out of position, the idiot played them on then stopped playing and waved his hand in the air.
  13. I didn't see the same thing twice, anyway Lovenkrands would offer something different to playing the other 3 players who tend to be used as target men. When we have a combination of the other 3 we have nothing different to work with, when it doesn't come off we're knackered and stuck with lumping long balls in the hope that we'll get a second ball.
  14. Why would he have walked? He walked because he thought that his job was untenable. I don't see why he would have walked this season if the same reasons for him walking last season weren't present this year. I think we'd be flying and building for next season instead of plodding along with what we have got now.
  15. I can't really believe that is true for the latest set of events. Even if he truly still believes this then, as said many times, his morals/values are pretty misplaced which is not acceptable either. Keegan walked because he thought that he having final say on transfers was better than Wise bringing players in behind his back. Keenan’s record of bringing players to this club tends to back that up as his record is second to none. I'm not even sure he thought that he would lose out on having final say, it had worked for him here in the past when he's threatened to walk so he probably thought that he would walk out for the good of the club and come back and move forwards as manager. I think he was bluffing in the knowledge that he would probably win the battle although we all know it didn't work out that way. I don't think for one moment that he walked out with any malice towards us or the club, he had every right to be pissed off with those running the club and I would think he’d love to see them lot in the gutter.
  16. Keegan played his part in our current situation when he walked, I'm not too sure that he thought that we would get relegated. The club had plenty of opportunities to turn things around but didn't, all they did was compound the original mistake of putting Keegan in a position which he felt he had to walk away from. We had almost a full season to replace Keegan with a proper manager but we didn’t, that’s not down to Keegan. I’m convinced that Ashley could have got Keegan back when he met him in London but he wouldn’t go against his mates, he put them before the good of the club and that’s why we’re where we are today. What Keegan has done for us in the past shouldn’t be forgotten, both as a player and manager. That shouldn’t mean that he’s blameless when he makes mistakes but his mistakes are minimal when compared to those made by others at the club. I can’t understand when opinions on Keegan have to be so polar, he’s either a hero or the anti-Christ when in reality he’s neither. He’s a bloke who has feelings for the club and he’s always tried to do his best for us although it hasn’t always turned out that way.

I'm not sure how you can mention Robson with those, he's the only one mentioned who I would have expected to improve us at the time he was sacked. It's true that some people felt we were on the slide with him but that doesn't make it a fact. His start to the season was no worse than the starts which eventually ended up with us qualifying for Europe. I'm quite sure that we would have been better off if we'd kept him rather than showing him the door.
