  1. Lovenkrands could and should have played through the middle and LuaLua should have started on the wing. LuaLua is a kid but I'd rather have a kid in his proper position than Shola anywhere near our starting 11.
  2. The disgrace will be forgetting to take his P45.
  3. We shouldn't be looking for an interim manager, we should be looking for a manager to take us on full time and we should have been doing that from the day the club was taken off the market.
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if Kinnear had been watching the game at home and decided to take Martins off.
  5. No we don't need a stand in, we need a manager in now to replace Kinnear.
  6. Some people just look for reasons to have a go at them, some people like yourself don't.
  7. I know this is hindsight but Souness would have been gone long before Anelka.
  8. I was the same about wanting Anelka, he would have been a much better signing than Owen.
  9. Yes, it's the same thing but I'm not bothered about job titles, I suppose DoF gives the job more status.
  10. Keeper is still our strongest position and looks like being so for years to come, another Keeper would just put our promising kids further down the pecking order and prevent them from gaining experience.
  11. I don't see why a DoF can't report to the manager, the Chairman or MD would still have the final say on how much is spent in the way that he does now and the manager would feel that he had full control of who comes and goes. Having the DoF report directly to the MD means the manager will always feel as if he hasn't got control, even if he has because of a suspicion as to who makes decisions. We’ve created a problem which was totally unnecessary and if Wise is leaving then now would be the time to put it right.
  12. The only problem I have with a DOF is who he reports to, it should be the manager not the MD.

    Bramble

Bramble has everything to be a top defender, everything apart from a defenders brain, it may be that he will learn as he gets older but he was finished here.

    NUSC - Good or Bad?

I've actually mentioned the signal that Owen going could put out, also, no I didn't turn down an FA Cup ticket out of principle. Like I've said in the past and within the last couple of days, I was willinig to give them a chance to get things right and they did with the appointment of Robson, only to screw it up again.
  15. It's also transfer fee alone and is forgetting that he earns more than that in wages every year. On top of the fee he earns between £5.2 million and £5.7 million which takes the cost of Owen to over 10% of our turnover.

    NUSC - Good or Bad?

Sir John left his entire fortune to two fools, Douglas and Freddy and both of them proved that they were not as good as he was, both his business and his football club went backwards once he gave up control. He obviously did have some say but didn't make decisions, juse like every other shareholder in any business.

    NUSC - Good or Bad?

It's not utter bollocks at all, two losing FA Cup finals didn't make up for our 11 place fall down the league although you seem to think that it does as your defending it. Our expectations were raised by Sir John, I doubt anybody expected us to go from 2nd to 13th in one season, especially after finishing 3rd, 6th, 2nd and 2nd for 4 seasons. Our 2nd place wasn't a one off as we'd finished top 6 for 4 years in a row and we were top 3 for 3 of those seasons so our 2nd place wasn't a one off.
  18. Strange that LLLO didn't pick you up on this, but... Er........ they will either way, whether he pays in full or by installments. I'm not sure why he would need to pick up on it, the figures are from the accounts. The accounts are made up man, has no one told you? So Mick's interpretation is correct? Mick's figures are correct, I'm not sure what his interpretation is tbh, but if it's the same as Happy Face's then it's incorrect. I'm sure he won't mind. Is it a big deal to you like? I put you right with the sums last night, I don't mind doing it tonight if you want. His interpretation is what I quoted. It was only 1 sentence I'm surprised you find it so hard to pick out. He's saying you can tell whether or not players were paid for upfront by the amortisation figures in the accounts. Here it is again in case you still can't find it: I've actually said that you can't tell as the accounts only show totals for the full year and the figures don't add up if the ones you mentioned are correct.
  19. What was Happy Face's interpretation?
  20. It's impossible to tell but the figures don't match those you mentioned for us to have paid up front last year.
  21. I'm sure I've actually seen as much being suggested somewhere.
  22. Strange that LLLO didn't pick you up on this, but... Er........ they will either way, whether he pays in full or by installments. I'm not sure why he would need to pick up on it, the figures are from the accounts.
  23. How's he going to afford that? At least we now know where all of the money asset stripped from the clubs going.
