I'm not sure Viduka has the movement to use his touch for 45 minutes.
-
I wouldn't send Shola out in the seconf half he's having a mightmare, I'd put the invisible Spaniard on as he's got more pace than Viduka.
-
I agree, it looks like Bassong keeps pushing them up and we don't have the pace if we get it wrong.
-
Martins could have had 50 or 60 goals in the first half if playing, West Brom are really bad at the back.
-
Shola should be taken off, again.
-
Butt and Cafu, jesus.

It's a spineless line-up.

At least we've got Smith to fall back on.

Don't even ask that question.

I'm not sure how you can take the stress out of the job, sometimes you can try too hard to protect people and that has an adverse effect as it looks like you're trying to do the job for them. That in itself can bring about the stress which you are trying to avoid so it’s a fine line to cross. When does helping somebody become interference? I wouldn't want my boss sticking up for me at work as it would undermine my authority, an authority which Kinnear has because of his position. If I needed help then I think it should be up to me to ask for it and the same goes for Kinnear. If he's asked for help and it hasn't been forthcoming then you have a point.

As has become usual over the last few months, we don't know what they've done to help him. We do know that Ashley has been at the training ground and Llambias has spent even more time with him. Nobody can put anybody under stress, the only person who can do that is the person who is potentially suffering. People can try but it's up to each individual to learn to cope with situations. I've had enough jobs and situations in life where I could have suffered but didn't allow it to happen, it wasn't because I didn't care, it was because allowing yourself to suffer does nobody any good and will only make matters worse. Some jobs are more likely than others to induce stress and that's when people who can deal with it usually do a better job, it's the same job or type of job but the people doing it are different.

An unsigned contract is as much use as a piece of toilet roll, until it's signed it isn't legally binding and ill health is a reason to break a signed contract anyway, it's potentially frustration of contract. http://www.emplaw.co.uk/researchfree-redirector.aspx?StartPage=data%2f040.htm

Do you think the club will have given him a signed copy of the contract? I doubt that very much, if he's got a contract it will be unsigned for him to take away and read before both sides sign it, probably after alterations have been made after haggling.

That is absolute bollocks, sorry. The club like every other employer have a duty of care towards its employees but football is a stressful business, no employer could protect him from that.
-
Thinking it's his heart is natural considering his medical history but you're right that it could be anything.
-
I don't agree about the points going out of the window, we haven't got the same problems as we had when Houghton was last in charge.
-
His health is an issue though, people who have had heart attacks are told to avoid stress as all costs and football is a stressful business, you can't separate the two.

I don't wish him any ill at all but I hope this puts an end to any thought of him ever becoming full time manager.
