If they do everything at two days notice I wouldn't be able to go to any meetings so will not join.

Enough said.

This thread.

Calm down, you're watching highlights.
-
They must have timed it for the expected takeover.
-
He carries more authority because he's the manager, not a coach who will have been one of the boys. I have no doubt that he'll bollock players if needed and they'll have no option but to do what he tells them.
-
I wasn't thinking about how Shearer supported Souness, that was his choice to make. My problem is that I see what you see but I see it as a potential weakness, time will tell. I hope that I'm wrong if he comes here but we'll not know until or if it happens.
-
He might have a point.
-
Nothing, we've been here before.
-
You've just reminded me that I've got some photographs on my camera that I haven't downloaded.
-
Good luck to him, if it goes well for him then it goes well for us, he's better than Hughton because he'll carry the authority of a manager instead of a coach. At least he's coming in with a realisation of his position and a hunger to do well so that he can get back into management.
-
It was some of us, go on, spit it out.
-
I don't remember the players threatening to go on strike because of Lee leaving, what would have been the point if he was then managing another club? I can't remember the fans ever singing Gordon we love you which you've claimed before.
-
Shearer could be just like Souness, he has the same sort of playing mentality which Souness had as a player and I worry that he might be too arrogant to recognise his own weaknesses.
-
You're right about some of those 15 years as having raised expectations and Shepherd should be given some credit for stadium. As for the possibility of relegation, we've been here a few times recently although this is the first time that Keegan has played a part in it.
-
As you seem to have missed the link I'll add it again http://www.toonarama.co.uk/managers/dinnisfall.html At least you are keeping it to one thread now. The last 15 years were the best in the last 50, that's never been doubted as far as I know so I don't know why you have to bring that up. Who gets the credit for that is debatable. The years before Sir John took over were poor, I don't think anybody has ever doubted that so why do you feel the need to keep repeating something which isn't doubted by anybody? The current regime actually improved our position from the season before last and would have done the same again if Keegan han't put himself before the 50,000 he claims to care about, the resignation of Keegan has wrecked this season
-
I've given credit to Shepherd for what he did well and I have no problem doing that but I see where he went wrong, unlike you who seem to try and gloss over it. As for Dinnis and the others, I've replied to it, I understand that you don't think the players were after more money even though I've supplied a link which supports what I said.
-
I nearly split my sides so he might be right,
-
Sometimes we did sell our best players for profit and sometimes that money was spent on others who didn't work out, sometimes the money disappeared. Your club knowledge is all one sided, it's laughable at times. What's that got to do with the "Shepherd Legacy?"
-
Of course it was about money, stop trying to change history. If anybody doesn't know then have a look here as this is how I remember it, it looks like at least two of us are wrong. http://www.toonarama.co.uk/managers/dinnisfall.html

The demonstrations while Souness was here were quite bad but not as organised at this one. We had chants of sack the board before we brought Owen in and it was quite bad just before Souness was sacked.
-
We spent years in the 2nd division because we brought in the wrong managers who brought in the wrong players so we couldn't compete. Some of it was also down of bad luck and the shit play-off system which I'm totally against and always have been as a club who finishes the season in third position has every right to get promoted and I would say the same if we benefited from this crazy system.
-
Me and my mates went down by van and we went to Wakefield afterwards, we had no trouble, got mortal and also got home on Sunday for different reasons to you but I'll keep that off the forum.

Leicester was a hell hole and we always ended up having to fight our way to the car/van/mini bus. We parked near the Leicester Tigers ground the season we avoided relegation and ended up going to the hospital to pick one lad up who had been beaten senseless.
