  1. It is only my opinion but it's based on what was happening, not what could have happened. Obviously things could have changed for the better, I didn't see a single sign of things turning around for the better, if anything, things were getting worse and we had a set of circumstances which were going to make things tougher, if anything. I know Roeder had his better results when he was forced to play a team and that could have happened for Allardyce, I doubt it though.
  2. "Keegan will require more money than Big Sam," I doubt it, Allardyce brought some shit here.
  3. I don't agree that it's as baseless to think we'd be as bad or worse off, nothing was changing for the better and we were already in a run of defeats against lower placed teams with a touch run coming up and players going off to Africa.
  4. The decisions made by Allardyce were to the detriment of our game, he had a negative effect.
  5. We don't have many good players, they're not good enough in the main and we made them worse by constantly changing the way we tried to play. It is the managers right to do what he wants, he paid the price for doing it though, he gambled and lost. I think we are better off, at least I think we'll move forwards once we get this season out of the way, a season that Allardyce played a major part in screwing up.
  6. Seeing that what he was trying to do wasn't working was a piece of piss, the fact that he couldn't see it is down to him and that's a failing.
  7. If Allardyce sends players out to play in a way which isn't natural to them then yes, he's responsible for individual performances. We were doing OK when we were trying to win games then he changed his plan away from home and the players couldn't adjust from game to game.
  8. Allardyce sent the team out against Fulham to not lose, he did the same against Derby, Reading and Wigan to name another 3, he's responsible for how we played as much, if not more than the players.
  9. In general it was worse under Allardyce, he has shit while here.
  10. People saying we wouldn't have been in the mess we now find ourselves if he'd stayed or we'd have improved, bases on what?
  11. Centre mid is wrong, N'Zogbia also plays in that position.
  12. They'll have read the British press and jumped on the bandwagon, the thread title did worry me though.
  13. I wish I didn't have to go to work on Monday, I'd love to go to this one, as it is, I'll struggle to get home to watch it on Setanta. It's got the makings of a cracking match as I think we'll go for the win.
  14. Anything on Monday is a bonus, we don't need to win and losing will not be the end of the world, the players should be comfortable knowing that. Winning would be a massive result and would set us up for the rest of the season, a draw would be an excellent result in our position.

    Alan Smith

Milner is injured so that might give Keegan an easy option to change things without dropping a player, I'd wait and see who he picks, so far his selections haven't been too imaginative.
  16. Sometimes you can put too many players into the same area of the pitch and they just get in each others way, it doesn‘t always work.
  17. That doesn't work with our left winger.
  18. Woah! Woah! Woah there big guy...what are you saying here? Are you saying we shouldn't try and create a massively pointless and irritating thread quote pyramid then? Yes That's Exactly What I'm Saying. Yup. Right. Gotcha.
