I'd say that Krul is probably still too young for any league side to risk a year long loan as a starting keeper, keep him here for the reserves/bench as cover for injury's to Given or Harper. Or at best, a short term loan,. On the subject of Harper, i'm with Midds on this one, if he had real ambition for a starting place he'd have been off years ago (still decent cover though).

See your point but I think theres a slight difference in the players involved, if Owen is fit to play he'll play, he's a starter, if Luque is named in the squad he's on the bench at best. edit - however if neither Owen or Ameobi started or on the bench it wouldn't really surprise me.

There was another option that you haven't mentioned which I would have done and that was to send Bellamy out on loan for 12 months, that way if the team put together by Souness did gel and get us back into the top 5 we could of sold Bellamy on then, hopefully after a trouble free loan somewhere., that would have made more sense than selling him for a ridiculously low fee. That was never going to happen though after Bellamy sent abusive text messages to Shearer and Freddie's boy. He did go on loan, to Celtic, can't remember him being any bother up there.

They're moving in the right direction on and off the pitch thats a fact, so is the fact that they'll have to spend big - and they know it, but that could be good for us too. Haven't been to an away game for a fair few years so won't comment on us but the only team who sing constantly all through the game are Man U, most others start well then fade to nowt, chirping up when they score or come out with that golden 'shall we sing a song for you' great. Mind you, we've probably sang that away as well like.
