If our two options are St James Park revamp or new stadium, any potential revamp worth its salt would leave SJP virtually unrecognisable anyway. The old girl is looking increasingly tired and old. The could completely gut the place out, add an extension somewhere and give it a new roof etc, but such a cosmetic change would beg the question, why not just have a new stadium?

Mbeumo won't be moving in this window and even in the summer I think he'd cost closer to 70m or at least that's what Brentford would ask for (Man Utd are asking for 60m for Garnacho). I just wonder whether we even have the desire to get drawn into that level of deal and whether we'd prefer to do more deals in the 40/50m bracket that are less hassle. Just as an example, I reckon Madueke would be closer to 50 and Dibling even less than that. Both players would be better value for money are younger with more room for growth. I wouldn't complain with any of them mind. Just depends what we want to do.

If Schar is feeling better I'd have him in for Botman. It might be just me but the balance with the ball just looked off to me. Especially since Wolves allowed our CBs free reign on the ball. It's absolutely not a reflection on Botmans performances mind.
