I don't believe for a second that Maddison was a top target. I don't believe we are interested in Veiga as much as is reported. I think we like Szlob but not at the price they want and suspect we moved on quite a while ago. I think we are probably very keen on Arda Gular but perhaps not hopeful given the competition. Everything I've learned is that we go for top talent and players who we might think are unattainable. We also seem to circle like a shark on any club thar seems financially vulnerable. I've never been more confident of us signing quality players but don't believe the noise. No fucker had a clue that we wanted or could get Tonali. The same will be said for the one after that and the one after that.

Starting to wind me up how many people seem concerned about Harrison Ashby/Krafth getting game time. He's miles better than either of them. Fuck them. Ashby can go on loan and Manquillo can fuck off and the Krafth can fuck off next year. And no, he's not being bought to play left back FFS.

In fairness to Baldwards, I suspect this has come from the Southampton end. Also, 12/15 with add ons, is an exceptional price for a 20 year old who's been injured for a year and coming from a relegated side.

He's not getting in our starting 11, he's 20 but Trippier was already over worked last season. We need someone who can take the weight off him.

Just shows that we are prepared to sign quality young players, regardless of whether its a priority position. I don't think Trippier, Krafth and Tino as a 3 is particularly over the top. Provided we sell Manq and loan out Ashby.

In theory that sounds good but the reality is that they could still announce an "agreement in principle", before it goes through on July 1st. There's no reason to wait until July to tell us about it.

Also, Tonali will be drip fed into the side. We know Howe well enough to know that he won't be fired straight into our first 11.

Also Tonali is 23. Its not set in stone where his best position lies. I'm absolutely certain that if Bruno is out, Tonali will play number 6, perhaps he will even start as a number 6 with Bruno in a double pivot. Our midfield 3 isn't conventional at the best of times. There has been plenty of times where Bruno has been our highest player up the field. If its possible, I think we play some sort of triple pivot. When one presses the next man covers the half space. The only thing that Tonali probably doesn't possess is the ball retention/press proof play as a deep lying player on the ball, that Bruno does but then most players in the world don't.

Basically Luke is banking on a couple of weeks without another signing so he can say "see.....". Of course we are looking to offload players. Captain obvious.

One thing I've noticed, he literally goes everywhere. He's sometimes on the right wing, sometimes edge or his box, sometimes in the middle.

His agent was there so he could sign the contract. There was no other reason for him to be there. It's done from that point of view. It will just be some delay in banking, paperwork, getting the documents agreed r.e percentages, payments, add ons etc. Will take some pouring over and rubber stamping. I'd bet my left bollock that he's already had his photo taken in a toon shirt.

Everything I've seen suggests he's Longstaff but with infinite more vision and swagger. I'm also convinced that he will be 3x the player for us that he was for Milan.

I think he's the player who Caulkin was referring to when he said the club were lying about who their targets are. I'm not entirely sure that Maddison is anything like a key target. After Tonali, I don't think anyone knows who our targets are.
