    NUFC Transfer Rumours

You know what we really need? A win. Thats why we are all frustrated.
  4. I get the whole sign players early thing but when you are signing players on 6 year deals, its hardly the nost crucial aspect. He also had 3 of them in before the season started and Ramsey shortly after.

I dont expect Liverpool fans to be annoyed this Isak, so im going to support Wissa. As a collective, clubs should get together to prevent this. They wont, because they are all self serving. Despite Wissa doing what hes done, he seems a good lad but then im going to say that. Weve paid too much for him. He needs to repay us.

Gabby Agbonglahor must be rolling in his grave at thought of someone going on strike to move from Brentford to Newcastle. What's that? Gabby isnt dead? I must have dreamt that.

Who said fear is making players stay? I said seeing an ex player get dogs abuse will make them rethink their exit strategy.
  8. Ramsdale 6/10 Not Trafford (might be a blessing) but a really good character and I suspect he will push Pope out eventually. Thiaw 6/10 The biggest one im doubtful about and hes not the big name i was hopeful for but he wasnt massively expensive and has plenty to work with. Ramsey 8/10 Really like this one. Looks super bright and takes massive pressure off the midfield. Elanga 7/10 He wont "flop", but he might not be a world beater either. Hes a good signing, at a good age. Woltemade 9/10 For the ambition and star factor alone, this guy is a great signing. Risk? Pfft. Wissa 8/10 10m over priced but guarantees us those PL goals that we need. A very good means to an end. Outgoings: Wilson, Longstaff, Osula, Targett, are the right players out of the door. The Isak situation was forced upon us and made it a difficult summer. We acted with integrity, albeit slightly softly but we did get a British record fee. Im glad that saga is gone. The club didnt let their manager down and thats the most important thing for me. It was likely Howe who set the condition of two strikers or he doesn't go and we stuck to it. Weve had owners who sold but never replaced and that counts for something. Weve got a considerably stronger squad IMO but are missing that x factor for big games....... unless....
  9. 8 Weve signed players in the correct positions and let the players go, who i wanted to go. Big Nick will have the biggest say in this windows success because all of the others are relatively risk free in comparison but hes also the jewel in our crown... if we unlock his clear potential. I wont pretend to know the financials but if we come out of this with money to spend next summer, then I think weve done a really good job.

Yeah this was my thought. He wont flop. Hes got too good technical and physical traits to fail under Eddie Howe. Hes gonna be one of those players who scores outrageous goals.

Need to give him a new deal ASAP. If it has to be with a release clause, so be it, it still protects us from this summers debacle.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I dont know the characters of our players that well to judge, but the big reason they wont be doing an Isak is the amount of venom coming Isaks way. They will be beside him on the pitch when it happens. Might make them think twice.

    Nappys back on lads?
  14. Some have taken the 150m and skewed it as "150 or nothing" rather than it being a negotiating position. Its been reported for weeks that the fee was never an issue. Weve got a British record fee. The issue is that the club have weakened themselves on the pitch. In order for this to work, we need another striker.
  15. Totally agree. Eddie's last press conference was telling. He didn't want Isak anymore. Again.. we need that second striker.
  16. Honestly I get more satisfaction coaching my u13s and getting to the odd non league games. Theres something pure about it.
  17. Totally agree with this mind. Ladder has been pulled up and nobody is willing to do anything about it. The fans dont want PSR. The fans dont want VAR. Both exist, despite the people who actually pay for the game not wanting them. We arent the shareholders in the game we think we are. We are the customers in a business fight.

Harvey Barnes level player, not good enough.
  19. I think its pretty clear that our fans are annoyed, rightly annoyed and me trying to bring the positivity at this moment isnt going to work, so im going to bow out. However, you TCD and your ability to turn up like fucking Batman to the Bat signal at any sign of negativity is ridiculous. Nowhere to be seen when things are going well. You've got this theory about the club being poorly run, fine, but you also thought we had a shit manager until he won us a cup.
  20. We'd have had to pay Isak 5m because he hadnt handed in a transfer request. However, seemingly hes not getting it, therefore its 5m extra for us. Liverpool are paying 125.
  21. I can see a scenario where he stayed, it took a month to get him up to speed and he put in performances at 80%, even if he scored 15 goals, his value next summer would plummet. For the club it was a risk.
  22. Yeah i hear ya, but i suspect its made very little impact on the clubs reputation. If feels that way from the inside but I dont think it does when the dust settles. I have sympathy for the club wanting to wash their hands of him. I wont have the same sympathy if we dont get another striker.
  23. Ive been saying all summer that there is a principle involved.... however you dont run businesses on principle. You have to be pragmatic. I dont like it either but the club have likely known for a while that keeping him was not an option.
  24. For all those critical of ownership, what did you want them to do? Keep Isak for a year and still get less money next year (and it would have likely been 110m then) and risk having a sulky cunt in the squad? The criticism cant be for selling, it has to be for whether they get another striker.
