We need 1 point more or better goal difference than the side in 18th. That's it.
-
Ticks every box. Quality on the ball, PL experience, knows Eddie.
-
Always a believer in the spine being the priority but quite frankly if there is good player available in any position, we should do the business. If I was being picky.. 1. Centre mid 2. Centre forward (Wilson gets crocked and we are fucked) 3. Centre back

Don't trust Longstaff. Gives the ball away too much. Don't think Hayden is good enough. Oddly I think Hendrick could do a job but he's just not a great footballer. Stick with Willock until January.
-
I'd change the line up: Dubravka Schar Lascelles Fernandes Manquillo Shelvey Willock Lewis Joelinton Wilson ASM Need the extra protection in defence.
-
It's class that these guys are aware of what is being said. No nonsense rebuttal to bullshit. Clearly Emelano is on a PR exercise. Hopefully we have someone better lined up.

I echo sentiments about Shelvey. I would have kicked him into touch but he has been instrumental in Howes team. Arguably our best player over the last 3 games. He's not the long term answer to success (Shelvey) but it's a minor miracle what Howe is getting out of certain players. Shelvey, Joelinton, Lewis, Schar have all excelled under Howe. His message about January is spot on too. Forget transfers for now.

So if in game week 20 he gets his 5th card, what happens?
-
How many yellows is he on?
-
Did you read your own question? You asked about 10 yellows.

I thought we were excellent. I get that the game was turgid in the first half but that's the PL, especially against Burnley. They are the archetypal shithouses and we still took control and went 1-0 up. In the second half we kept the ball better, had like 6 corners on the trot and dominated. It was only in the last 10 when we dropped to deep. The only disappointment for me is that we didn't score more.
-
We were the better team, dominated the ball, had more chances, more corners, more shots. They hoofed and hoofed. Shite club.
-
I'd be asking Joelinton to drop into the role he was against Norwich.
-
Shite game but don't give a fuck. We were easily the better side IMO. Last 15 we got to grips with them.
-
You have to bare in mind that we have a different manager. He may have struggled out wide previous but with Eddie coaching he might have more joy.
-
Ritchie will be an asset from the bench, especially if we are winning.
-
Look, I would have been happy for Lascelles to lose captaincy and his place in the team but you won't find any manager in this league who would disrupt the squad like that. If we are planning on passing the ball about, Schar over Fernandes, just. Away from home we should have all 3.
-
Think Schar is better on the ball than Fernandes.
-
Lascelles was always starting. Fernandes unlucky. Great to see Lewis and Almiron. Really like that line up.
-
Soccer Saturday is even worse than it was. That Kris Boyd is an absolute moron.

Newcastle shots 10, Southampton shots 22, Newcastle possession 36% Southampton 64% Against: Newcastle shots 23 Brentford shots 10 Newcastle possession 54% Brentford 46% Quite a contrast. Individual errors costing us.
-
On a separate note... I'm sick of being negative. I have no negativity left. Bruce is gone, Charnley, Ashley, the Steve's too. Yeah I get it, we aren't great. Massive gaps in our squad and an uphill relegation battle on our hands but, so fuck? Let's have a go, get behind Eddie and a relatively likable squad. See if we can create history and get out of this hole. Positivity is the order of the day. Let's get them.
-
You would have to be blind not to see the wholesale change in attitude, movement and creativity IMO. Brentford we were class going forward but made individual errors, Arsenal we were very good in the first half (should have had a pen) but in the end were beaten by a side miles above us, Norwich was a write off but we were a better side even with 10 men. Play like we did vs Brenford + cut out the errors = win.

He's either a genius or completely mental.
