  1. Will the PL checks be with Staveley or the Saudis? If it's with Staveley it's a foregone conclusion.
  2. I swear in the killing fields of Cambodia there is a sports direct bag filled to the brim with human skulls, because let's be honest, whilst MA is a prick, them bags have extremely strong handles and are made from a durable material.
  3. I listened to that then turned it off. I doubt there is any takeover due to past cases but why the hell would a dentist in Dubhai know. It was quite cringe how he would say he has spoke to people in the football industry and he knows things for fact such as the European league thing. That was common knowledge anyway think he does like the limelight. Yep, was very much me, me, me. He even had the slightest of digs at Caulkin.
  4. Just listened to that dentist on the Chronicle podcast, jesus that is mind numbing. The bloke doesnt have the foggiest what's going on, it's all "a trusted person told me this." What was quite clear is that hes been embarrassed with the BZG thing falling through. He will be gutted if the Saudi's get the club.

they will be on a pay rise.
  6. If, if, if, if he ever sells us then the absolute last thing he will do is buy another football club!!! The only reason he might, repeat might, sell us is if his retail empire is on the verge of collapsing and he desperately needs £350m to support it. That is our only hope. With retail as it is, the economy on the verge of collapsing, property prices set to crash for several years, it might be a good reason to sell. I dont think he will sell either, it's just conjecture, it's also unlikely he would buy another club.
  7. I wouldnt rule out him buying a foreign club, to market his tat overseas.
  8. If MA was to buy another club, it would be a PL or big Championship club who is on its knees financially, preferably ones with administrators who would take whatever deal he offered. He would rename the stadium in a heartbeat and go about making them financially solid. He would hire Allardyce to keep them steady, then milk the exposure for as long as he could.

Oh and no director or chairman should ever publicly voice their opinions on what is happening on the pitch. Not for a podcast, not for netflix and not in the stands. It puts unnecessary pressure on the manager when one of the gaffers is shouting "change it". Fucking amateur hour.

What struck me is that, realistically, Stuart Donald did a decent job for his first season. He did exactly what he had to, stopped the rot. Jack Ross also steadied the ship, got the to a place where they were hard to beat and just needed a bit more firepower to get promoted. Their obvious problem was Maja, leaving and replacing him with Grigg but that's football, every team has that problem. The other issue is that Donald wasnt in a financial position to have a second season in league 1, which was silly from his part. The should have kept Ross and played the long game.
  11. PIF is like a separate business altogether. Funded by the government but not entirely ran by it. Basically, what's going on elsewhere wont bother them much. In fact, it could be argued that the whole purpose of PIF is too turn their oil fortunes into long term business and ventures in other areas. One day the oil will run out and they need a future.

Aye Donald seemed ok. Was just a genuine bloke. Methven was an absolute cunt.
  14. No but its perfectly rational to think that MA is going to pull the plug at some point. Of course there is negotiations going on but I dont believe for a second that they will amount to anything.

That office music scene was class. When he said we need to know what "good" looks like, I almost vomited. It's pure corporate shite. Hes a con artist, it's no suprise they hounded him out.
  16. This is absolute horseshit.
  17. Sports Journalists have nothing atm. That's the only reason why Caulkin has done an article. Even a respected Journalist like Caulkin can only be as reliable as his sources. His source is undoubtedly Staveleys team, in which case MA could pull the plug at any time.

    Sam Allardyce

FFS, I was hoping it was Coronavirus. Sorrynotsorry. He would die too, since hes a walking heart attack.
  19. If they didnt already know he was a cunt, this wont make a difference.

    Joelinton

Why does it have to be either/or? Is it not possible that Joelinton is not worth anywhere near the 40m paid and that hes playing in a poor side managed by a buffoon? If he was playing in say, Wolves side, he would have undoubtedly scored 10+ IMO. But 10 goals wouldnt make him a particularly good striker anyway, just a decent one.
  21. Heart breaking. Poor soul.
  22. My thoughts are, abandon the season, award Liverpool the league and have play offs (for the champions league and relegation spots), behind closed doors once its dying down. They need to focus on getting next season started on a fresh, I dont think I'm up for shuffling around fixtures for next season.
  23. Probably been mentioned but did anyone see the Leeds fan on SSN, who said the games should go ahead and that as fans they can go to the games, "knowing the risks". Its thick cunts like this who miss the point. It's not about if YOU get it, dickwad, it's about if you get it and take it back to your local area and pass it on to some old dear who doesnt give a fuck about the football. Unbelievably selfish from a Leeds fan because hes desperate to get promoted.
  24. This makes sense to me. They need to look at it as an opportunity to do something different next season. They could also create space to play the Euros.
