Apparently the "bibs" photos are pictures of the winning side in that particular training session. Eddie keeps a full season log of who wins and loses and gets his analysts to work out which players are most regularly winning. He also puts the photo of the winning sides up in the dressing room to create a winning mentality.

We need to factor in that some signings don't work out (even in the well run clubs), you can strive for perfection in the transfer market all you like, it will never come. With that in mind, we might need to over compensate in January, by signing one or two more than necessary. Let's say we sign Tarkowski and Lingard in January (I think we will have problems with English clubs FWIW) and on day 2 Lingard pulls his hamstring and is missing for 6 weeks? Ordinarily, you take injuries as just part of the risk but in our scenario, we really can't afford to take that risk. We might have to sign a Lingard (e.g) and also get a decent loan deal for another attacking player. I think we need to look at some low risk + high risk markets. Let's say, again as an example, there is an opportunity to sign someone like Coutinho on loan with a big fee option for him in the summer. IMO, we have to take the risk that he might be an overpaid flop because we simply can't afford to spend the last 4 months with Jonjo pulling the strings in midfield. In short, we need to be signing players all over the pitch because of the thinness of our squad. ONE good signing could transform our season, in the same way Dubravka made an impact that January or Sissoko did or someone like Cabaye who added real quality. Bit of a ramble but hope that made sense.

So realistically Miggy gets back training on Thursday? Can't see him starting.

Would like to see the red original one used on an away kit one season. Would be cool.

Would like to see all of the seats changed. Get them all in matt black, would look sexy as fuck. Maybe even with Gold "NUFC" along the east stand. I'd also like to see the whole stadium have the same style roof, instead of going from see through to corrugated, or whatever the current roof is made of. It's simple stuff like this which will brighten the place up, rather than wholesale change.

What a tremendous waste of time this fixture is.

There's nowt subtle about going from backs to the wall, counter attacking turgidness, to all out Eddieball. There can't be a half way house IMO, as they are polar opposites. It might not work, for sure but he will 100% commit to it. Let's hope the players can implement enough of that style to get a win.

Couldn't care less who our starting 11 is. I'm comfortable in the knowledge that Eddie knows his stuff and has his reasons. I'm so excited to see how we attempt to play.

I think he's working on match tactics. Where he wants players positionally etc. Using the full SJP pitch will give a better sense of where they need to be.

Golden letters, would look good too. Perhaps even in fancy lettering, rather than block capitals. Let's be honest, anyone artsy could come up with some cool designs better than the current mess.

If we are talking upgrades to the stadium... I'd love to us do something similar to Schalke, where they have a tunnel which basically looks like a coal mine. Perhaps even a digital version, where you walk down the tunnel and its all a screen (even the ceiling, which changes the imaging and messaging. I just like to see something really inspiring in there that represents the heritage of the club and the region. Perhaps even the ship yards or something. Just thinking out loud now.

Sterling isn't realistic because I suspect PSG, Juventus, Barca or Real, perhaps even an Arsenal or Chelsea would lure him. Mahrez being 30 isn't out of the question though. It would cost big money. A big loan fee of 10m plus 30m in the summer might do it. That said, i just don't think we are going to making big, rash signings in January or spending on names. Most of our signings will come from abroad, will have decent reputations and will not have the PL tax, which is coming our way. If we can get a Lingard or Tarkowski, then we will do that but if we get messed around, don't expect us to hang around. We need signings in the first week of the window, not the last, and that means getting quotes from clubs in December.

We always had more followers abroad than Chelsea, City and Spurs pre Ashley. Our catchment in terms of viewers for matches and shirt sales is enormous. It was our previous sponsorship which wasn't proportionate, not the potential new one.

It WAS 50m in each transfer window. That will have been revised. Without spending silly money, they will do what they have to do to ensure survival. Put it this way, we won't be letting players go for the extra couple of quid like we were doing under Ashley. We also have potential to sell a couple of our fringe players. For example, we could probably get 3/4m for Shelvey from the championship, 1/2 for Clark, 3/4 for Gayle etc.

So basically,we want our sponsorship to be around the 40m mark for the first couple of years and there is shite all they can do.

Of course I don't want to get relegated but if it happens and we still manage to completely revamp the academy, training facilities and set up a cogent hierarchy at the club, that's something of a W for me. The on pitch success is inevitable if the former is achieved, to a high spec.

Pretty much confirmed that all decisions go through PIF and that whatever the decision they expect to be thorough in their "process". Wonder if whispers of Emelano (or whatever his name is) going to Saudi Arabia were true then. "If we make mistakes, we will own up to them and put them right." That's all I have ever wanted to hear.

Similar problem to us. Who else realistically, could they have got? I don't see Fonseca as any less of a risk.
