Being sensible for a second, Arteta has done a great job at Arsenal. He completely reformed their side, made it bright and gave them a solid defence. He also got them to a whisker off the title.... However, he was given ridiculous amounts of money and looks as though they may have plateaued. Some of their signing seem dull. The look gassed from last year. Of course the worst thing for them is that Arteta is incredibly unlikeable. I imagine he's an absolute cunt to get on with.

Our side that finished 4th: Pope Trippier Schar Botman Burn Bruno Longstaff Willock Miggy Joelinton Isak Our side yesterday: Pope Tino Schar Burn Hall Bruno Longstaff Willock Gordon Joelinton Isak The core was there yesterday 7 of the 11 being the same. Gordon is an upgrade on Miggy. Hall is becoming a better player than Burn. Tino hasn't quite got the beating of that seasons Trippier yet IMO. The big miss is Botman (Not that I'm knocking Burn). Botman is different gravy and the sooner he's back and perhaps we reinforce CB in January, I feel we will flourish. I love Tonali, but it's now on him to out perform Longstaff when given the chance. It's also game over for one of Miggy/Murphy. The fact Barnes came on for Gordon speaks volumes.

When he plays on the left, he's like having an extra CM and a winger at the same time, and he guarantees that his left back gets adequate cover. I think his days of CM are numbered, other than the odd game. Still astonishing me what a transformation it is since his Bruce days.

They are just different types. Tino is more Reece James. Hall is more Luke Shaw. Power and pace. Composure and passing.

@Unbelievable I will help you out on this one and show how an adult should approach these conversations. I was wrong on both Hall and Howe. I though Howe would start Kelly and push Hall to the sidelines. I was wrong. I didn't doubt Hall mind and this season I've been nothing but impressed by his technical output. He's getting better and better and I'm buzzing for him.

Longstaff was class. Hall was class. Eddie Howe is class. That will do me for tonight.
-
Looked uncoached to me.
-
Longstaff has been superb. I'm in the ground whatever difference that makes.
-
You can't replace something that doesn't exist. Let him go, save the wages, plan for the summer.
-
@PaullyGiving them shit in his pink top. Good lad.
-
I think he'd be class in midfield but it would likely take 15 games for him to get to grips with it and we simply don't have that sort of time. We also don't have a better left back option, so it's no bueno. I think we all need to accept that as a young lad he's going to have the odd howler but I think his long term potential is worth it.

He's possibly the most talented player I've ever thought might cost us a goal at any second. His talent on the ball is phenomenal. I've said before that he's the closest player to Bruno we have in terms of awareness, close control etc. His short and long range passing is also fantastic. I know he loses it from time to time but I can live with that because he's trying to play the right pass, rather than the safest one. If he can iron out his defending, he will be genuinely elite IMO. If I can use another comparison, he's very much like Luke Shaw, who's another great technical player at left back. I think Hall could go further. There's also a lack of natural left backs in the England squad, so the future is his if he wants it. How old is he? 19?

Looks poorly coached to me but then I don't know ball.

I'd go: Pope Tino Schar Burn Hall Tonali Longstaff Bruno Gordon Joelinton Isak Keep Bruno on that left for his link up with big Joe. Longstaff can sit a touch and allow Gordon to operate further forward. Longstaff gets pelters (and rightly so at times) but there's no doubt the team seems to function better with him in there. The most crucial thing is that Tonali starts DM. Even if we don't win, a good performance with these new roles will reshape our season.

Tell your boys at Wor Flags to get something special lined up.
-
Can't ask for more. Great chance to reach a semi.
-
I know this isn't the Chelsea of old and I also know that it's not their strongest line up, however I feel some are in danger of not seeing how big a win this is. Knocked a big club out of the cup. Another QF for Eddie. A win. A clean sheet. Another goal for Isak.
-
I swear it's staring us in the face. Let Tonali play DM and free up Bruno.
-
Bruno looks a different player knowing he can run forward with freedom.
-
Tonali getting a set piece.
-
Lloyd Kelly finally looks up to speed. His pace is class.

Asking to concede here. Keep the ball FFS.
