I'll be disapointed in Demba if he leaves, nowt wrong with that. He's moved his reputation on since he's come here and if he leaves he will have effectively used the club as a springboard. Fair play to him, he's ambitious, can't argue with that (if he does go).

I've heard nothing concrete from Pardew with regards to selling our better players. However, his tone suggests he expects a lot of interest. Of the bunch we have, only Ba and Tiote worry me and perhaps a stupid bid from someone like Real for Cisse. I don't see Cabaye, Krul or Cisse leaving really. We won't sell more than one big player IMO.

It's a staggering amount of money. The fat one will be happy, which can only be a good thing for the club. Although it has nothing to do with any transfer kitty, I hope it has a knock on affect and we see some good money invested at all levels.

Great opportunity for Mark Hughes here. Sometimes as a manager you need something like this to crop us so you can stomp your authority on a squad. If I was Hughes I'd flog him and send a message out to all those at the club.

For the first time in many a year we can afford to be picky about who we sign. We are no longer deperate as we alreay have a good team. However, we do need a contingency in the event that Demba leaves, which I think he might. I'm certain we will sign at least one bigish (like Cisse) player in the summer. Good times.
