Lets not mess about here, if he signs a new deal we will all be delighted.
-
I was being sarcastic about the time, it was around then though. Sounds like Oba Sunday has found it.
-
What nationality is their new Chief Exec by the way? I posted the other day that Martinez would be their new manager and that an American would come in at board room level.
-
Nice and postive then. As i've said before, IF he goes, lets replace him eh. 7m is alot of money if Cisse is anything to go by.
-
Who gives a fuck whether match officials are on drugs by the way? Lets just hope they ARE performance enhancing eh?
-
Was listening in the car, so i didn't catch the name of the journo. They were talking to him about Amalfitano first and then he went on to say that Newcastle are big representatives (like Arsenal of old) in France and that he thinks Debuchy is "close" to joining us.
-
IS, sorry that was bad grammar. That's what he said like, i'm not saying how reliable he is though.
-
It sounded like typical journalistic guestwork mind but they are normally on the ball with our transfers and it's all positive stuff. He said Cabaye's being crowing about the club back in France, encouraging others to join us.
-
I see that L'Equipe guy on total sport said he was close to joining us.
-
Just imagine if they hired Bruce. They must be getting close to him on their list by now?
-
Not too worried to be honest. If he goes, I just hope we replace him.
-
He will get booed though, it's just panto like.
-
If he turns into half the player Arteta is, we will have done well.
-
Sounds like he has potential then, something to be worked with. Wonder what he's like physically, he'll probably need to bulk up a touch for this league. It's nice to think we will nuture his talent and see him develop into a very good footballer.
-
When he says 5 a side, he really means Polo.
-
Can we get a frenchie on here to give us the low down on him? I know someone described him a while back but i really have no idea what his best attributes are. Or at least Ben Arfa's roadies do some research for us.
-
Finally getting a game though.
-
It's weird how confident i am that he will be a good player. Good luck lad.

I love the old "he's going to manager, with suchandsuch as director of football", rarely at football clubs do things like this happen. They will end up with a manager like Martinez and then a "yes" man from america will come in upstairs. They can forget, AVB, Van Gaal, Guardiola, Mourinho or any other mabager at the top of his game. Noone in their right mind would touch that gig at the moment. They couldn't get a manager of this calibre when they won the champions league, never mind now.
-
What's good about this is that because of our transfer reputations, other clubs will be convinced he will become a world beater. I just hope he settles in well and gets a few chances to impress. Always look forward to new signings, vive la Newcastle.

Bollocks, that's twice in a week. To early for that shit. Mind you, shows how much we think of Lee Ryder.
-
If they are so convinced about Marriapa, it does make you wonder what they have seen in him. Like it has been said before, you have to trust our scouting system. On the other hand, I don't believe a word of what Ryder says. I mean tell me how anyone finds out that we are after a versitile defender, without knowing anything else? He's a prick and is talking shite.

I'm a content fan at the moment. However I will never feel like there isn't something around the corner that could rail-road us. The one thing I would like the club to do is sort its public relations with the fans. I'm not asking for Ashley to sit in away ends any more but an end of season message to the fans wouldn't go a miss. I think the SBR statue helped, in that respect.

I simply don't think Gerrard can play in a 442, he'd get outplayed by most teams in this league now. He's a threat and his decision making in the final third is as good as anyone but he can't dictate a game of football. Lucas can't do it all on his own IMO. In this league, you can't afford to carry players on previous/non existant talents and Liverpool simply have too many. Even the fixtures in their team, such as Glenn Johnson have question marks above their heads. I actually think Carroll may be one of the only Liverpool players to come out of next season with any credit.
