I'm not going to join in the slanging match but Pressley has two strengths currently missing at Newcastle which are character and leadership. I would have him for these alone and he would help develop Taylor and Huntingdon. Ramage is beyond help and a lot slower than Pressley. sadly he will probably go elsewhere and he would not cost anything other than modest wages by EPL standards

The problem is Roeder who is really being shown up as his teams almost without exception lack balance. Add to this his technical incompetence and unbelievable inability to change tactics ( assuming we had any in the first place) during a game. Lately he has added to his cv an ignorance as to how to use substitutes. I used to think he was a mediocre manager but I now realise I was flattering him. Nice guys win f**k all !!!

We are the worst team in the Prem at set pieces. Apart from Nobby getting the odd goal we carry very lttle threat. Our corners are so poor I don't know why the crowd gets excited when we win a corner. Surely this could be addressed on the training pitch. Yet another stroke of genius needed from Roeder.

That's some positive thinking... I was positive before the last transfer window mate. They don't deserve the benefit of the doubt this time. It's up to them to prove to us that they can operate effectively in a transfer window. Until I actually see them do it, I'll assume they're incapable. Like Gemmill I am very unimpressed with Roeder's ability to work the transfer market. I will however be prepared to be pleasantly surprised if they get the right players in eg 2 fullbacks, a CD who can marshall a defence and a striker who can hold the ball up.

Riggot looked well short of match practice in the Fulham game. I sincerely hope we have more ambition than sign him. An average squad player at best. However Roeder may have difficulty attracting any real quality.

Shows Glen Roeder's ambition if this is the calibre of player we are after. Can he attract good quality players who are not simply mercenaries ?

We are nowhere good enough and the cracks are being papered over. Yes we have injuries but the correct signings were not made in August and the squad is not deep enough. Whose fault ? It must be Roeder's as he cannot seem to attract the right calibre of player ,albeit he can get the mercenaries but anyone could do that. He is at best an average to mediocre manager who cannot change a game whilst it is in progress, has an uncanny ability to pick the wrong teams who usually lack any balanceand I have difficulty in seeing any reality in his much vaunted man management skills. I still sit in the Gallowgate end at every game wondering how we are going to win any game. Yes I know we have won the last three but watching Reading last week I went through agonies. I really worry that Roeder will not spend whatever money we have in January wisely. His track record hardly inspires confidence. Would I like to see him go.... Yes I would as long as he is the manager we are not going anywhere but mid table mediocrity

He was on £10,000 a week. which we could afford as a short term signing for FREE . He reads the game and although not the quickest is more than capable of holding our defence together for the next few months and as good back up. I believe if he signed for a non Scottish team he could play right away. He is a lot better than Moore

Babayaro looked as if he wasn't even trying , particularly in the second half. He looked rusty and the two centre backs were clearly nervous of his defending as both came over to the left side far too early to give additional cover with the result we left huge gaps and the evn got in each others way a couple of times in front of the Gallowgate end. Certainly the most inept display of defending I have seen for a while and I have seen some deplorable defending this season. Still a great result but the cracks are there to see and no amount of papering over them will disguise the fact that we are one of the worst teams at the moment in the Prem.

Reported today that Pressley has been suspended indefinitely by Hearts. The Romanov fall out is killing that club ( And I can't stop laughing). However as a short term buy Pressley would be worth getting in Jan as he is far better than Moore, reads the game well and would bring on Taylor and/or Ramage. He does lack pace but as long as one of the youngsters was along side then we would be OK. At the same time we could solve the full back situation by getting Whittaker from Hibs. he is on his way to either Rangers or an EPL club in the near future.

Rangers got rid due to behavioural problems . Has spent time in alcohol rehab. But the main reason I don't want him here is that he is useless at defending, gets wound up to easily and if that is what we are going for then the sooner Roeder f*cks off the better. We are still heading for relegation if Roeder stays and this is exactly the poor quality player he can attract.

Another midget so we are bound to get him. At times I despair at our signings. Also not good enough for EPL so should be just what Gormless Glen is likely to sign

RB suggest Steven Whittaker of Hibs. Others are sniffing round including Everton, Charleton Rangers and Celtic. steven Pressley would be a good Jan signing as he is a good reader vastly experienced and would make a sto[ gap short term worthwhile signing. He is 33 and still very fit. Very unhappy at Hearts as is nearly evry player and supporter.

I'd settle for a reasonable performance and a goal. What I dread is that is not going to happen and we get a thrashing , leak a lot of goals and the consequent effect on our already brittle confidence

i might not be happy about how things are going but we have already beaten portsmouth and watford so we can do it again and before you say they rested players so did we, not sure how reading are playing but with the added pace that Dyer and Martins will bring we have a chance Blackburn are not playing great at the mo but have a goal getter so will be difficult and is there any team in the Prem that expect to get anything from Chelsea Do you think we will be out of the bottom three by mid December ? I don't and the way we are playing under Glen the gormless is far from giving me any optimism.

He would be a disaster as too slow. Even Craig Moore looks like a greyhound beside him. Martis has the pace and covers for him and yes he isn't good enough either. If you want anyone from Hibs it would be the right back Steven Whittaker. Young and already a very accomplished defender. Pretty good going forward as well.

Glen the gormless has to go and go now. Who has any confidence in a team being managed by him to beat Portsmouth, Reading and Watford at home ? I am going to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday and dread the outcome. The other games are Blackburn and Chelsea away. The reality is that come December 16th we could be completely dislocated from the other teams and find no way back. How difficult will it be to persuade any good players to come to SJP ? and who, of any quality, would want to be manager if we are in this position. I used to think there are at least several other clubs with poorer teams than us but have difficulty naming any now. Confidence is shattered and the team have the jitters too often . FFS do it now before it is too late.

Why is your Roedometer so high at 36 % ? In my book he is in single figures if even that. What good thing has he done in the last 3 months ?

Why hasn't FF sacked Glen the gormless ? He is worse than Dowie and his managerial non-performances have been every bit as bad as the Charleton chump. 8 points from 12 games and after this weekend likely to be 13 games is absolute relegation form. Why does the pieman think he can turn it around ? His inept, tactically naive, incorrect team picking and generally clueless attempts at managing a football team beggar belief. Mind you I shouldn't sit on the fence like this.
