    Damon Gray

Gray is an 18 year old Geordie (released by NUFC) now playing for Hibernian. Striker and scored 29 goals for Hibs reserves this season and had first team debut last Saturday against Aberdeen and scored opening goal. Interestingly he said that Alan Shearer took a training session with Hibs a few weeks ago. Maybe Shearer will be SJP manager sooner rather than later.
  2. What worriesme the most about this is that it looks a possibility that Gormless Glen will still be manager next year. Welcome to a season from hell !!! We were lucky to get away with it this time but will be as lucky next year ? All the good players are going to want to go. No prospect of European football for season after next as we are heading for the lower reaches of the premiership with that useless tw*t in charge. If we are waiting for Shearer then let's bl**dy get on with it sooner than later although who knows what he will be like as a manager.

    £4,875,000

The sad thing is our best results have come when Gormless Glen had injuries and the team picked itself. The only break I'd give him is a ten year sabbatical away from SJP
  4. Am I the only one who believes we are the worst team in the Premiership for taking free kicks, corners and throw ins.? Yesterday Arsenal effectively stopped us at throw ins from properly clearing our defences , yet we seem to make it so easy for the opposition to clear theirs. The free kicks yesterday hit new lows. It is so frustrating watching at home now. And, yes, I think Gormless Glen is a total tosser and a hopeless manager but will he be sacked ? There is more chance of Julian Clary being caught in bed with Madonna.
  5. I don't listen to anything Gormless Glen says as he talks total bo**ocks. He is a useless manager and is running out of luck. We have performed abysmally this season eg Sheffield Utd, Fulham(home & away), Birmingham Charlton.... I could go on but what is the point . The Roedent lovers will attack as usual.

    Roeder Out

I have said for months that Gormless Glen is hopeless and will take us nowhere other than mediocrity at best. I have seen so many defending him in unbelievable circumstances and at times attacking me. At the end of the day it is not his fault, he was offered the job and jumped at the the money when he was never going to get a job even in the lower leagues. What alternatives are there ? Probably not many while Jabba the Hutt is in charge. But he must go at the end of this season or it will be even worse and more frustrating next season. If we can't attract a real high quality foreign coach then we could do worse than going for Chris Coleman who has done a good job at Fulham, fought off clubs trying to buy his players on the cheap, can attract good players eg Montella and at least has some tactical nous. I admit he has got some things wrong but is young and is learning....something I am afraid Gormless Glen is beyond doing.

    Pre-season

The worst news about this is that it looks like Roeder will still be the manager next season. Hooray for continuing mediocrity.
  8. It was not the article I was referring to when I call him gormless. It is all his faults that have been listed many, many, many times in this forum by me and others. I cannot be bothered repeating them again but if you want mediocrity , boring football, clueless tactics and cr*p use of substitutes then he's your man. What exactly about what he says in that article is Gormless? He speaks a lot of sense in my opinion.
  9. Gormless Glen is now sounding like the total tosser I always thought he was. If he is here next season I dread to think how bad we will be. How frustrated we will be after the transfer window and how many games we should walk will be drawn or worse lost.
  10. Completely agree. Gormless Glen is way ,way ,way out of his depth. Today we kept hoisting high balls up to 2 midgets and when Sibs came on we mainly played through the middle. Roeder does not know his a**e from a hole in the ground. I have gone many times as to his lack of strengths and he has now added being utterly boring to his list of inabilities.
  11. Wasn't at the game today but am not surprised at the result. We are lurching along and sometimes scraping results. I can't remember the last time we gave another team a f**king good working over . Certainly not for a few seasons. What depresses me is the Roeder lovers who seem to be ready to accept midtable mediocrity as that is all that manager will give us at best. He is hopeless and if he is still there next season we will be getting the same up and down performances and becoming even more frustrated. And by the way I have been consistent with my views whether we win luckily or get deservedly beaten. I just wish Gormless Glen would do the decent thing and go, as it does not look as if he will be sacked. Also there is no point doing anything about him now but please let's not have him there come May.

    Babayaro

Spoil sport. Internet hard men are what makes the 'web great! Wana take this outside? Oh wait.. that would involve leaving my seat.. I'll pass. And its cold and wet. And FAR too far from my beer to be wanting to go out there. Let's end it! I win, good times. Now... Back to baba. Sorry to hear about his brother. It's quite bizzare, because he appeared to play better today than he usually does. He DID play better - i.e. not COMPLETELY s****, all of the time. There were even passages of time where he looked like a (admittedly lower-table) Premiership player. But lets face it, that doesn't make him any good. He's got his entire time with us to make up for, because he's been f****** shocking. Shame about his brother, clearly, losing someone isn't nice, and if he felt he was ok to play, fair enough. But the idea that this somehow makes him good enough to play for us is a scary one. Yeah, I assume he wanted to take his mind off it, which I can understand. And definitely, I think at times today he seemed like a decent player, one that may be worth the shirt on his back. But the odd glimpse of "talent" isn't gonna change the fact he's been diabolical for us since he's arrived. Exactly - one game where he was mainly ok does NOT suddenly make him good enough. The sooner we get a decent LB in - and Roeder had better sort it in summer, in the sad event he still has his job - the better. I completely agree. Roeder is not good enough. Can you imagine the supporters of any Prem club looking enviously at our manager and hoping that he might be recruited for their club. Actually, I would also apply that to Scottish clubs as well.
  13. I'm prepared to stand up and remain consistent. I hope Roeder is not still the manager at the end of this season. He is barely average at best and we win when we win despite him not as a rsult of him
  14. Besides the point. If I believe you and agree that it is besides the point , are you then happy to settle for the sort of mediocrity we are currently watching and for it to continue, I was trying to say we should be aiming higher and only a competent manager will take us there. Obviously I do not believe Glen is competent. We should be aiming for a competent chairman first... I agree but I think a competent manager would be easier to achieve than changing the chairman

If I believe you and agree that it is besides the point , are you then happy to settle for the sort of mediocrity we are currently watching and for it to continue, I was trying to say we should be aiming higher and only a competent manager will take us there. Obviously I do not believe Glen is competent. Initially you were comparing Souness and Roeder and then you basically chucked that out of the window and went to pre Souness. Accepted I was trying to say that Roeder had a similar track record this season, however you did not answer my questions about aiming higher and accepting mediocrity. Or, do you believe Roeder is competent and on what basis. My views on his incompetence are based on inability to change a game, tactically naive, favoritism with certain players who do not deserve his support, inability to operate in the transfer system and poor man management. His track record is hardly inspiring and yes I appreciated his work last season but we should have said thank you and moved on.

  17. .....yes but it is a shadow of what it was pre-Souness !!!
  18. We have 33 points from 26 games, the same as last year when Souness was sacked. Why do the Roeder lovers, who say he is doing a good job, think that a similar record to Souness is acceptable ? I really hope he is on his way at the end of this season. Please don't offer injuries as an excuse for him as he is responsible for our wafer thin squad which has not been put right through two transfer windows. His inability to recognise our need for a left back really boils my p*ss. I am also sick of listening to his pathetic post match talks.
  19. I would say we won despite him

    State of the Nation

Until we get a really competent manager then the rest will never be put right.
  21. The really sad thing is that Carr had to be injured before Gormless Glen would drop him for being utterly useless. Until we get a good manager then no progress will be made and Roeder is not a good manager.
  22. What is unforgivable is the lack of signing a left full back. Roeder is hopeless operating in the transfer market. He is too indecisive but if that was his only fault I could support him. He is a poor manager, tactically naive, unable to change a game during the 90 minutes and has no idea how to use substitutes.....fill in any I have missed. Any good points ? Well I'm told he is a nice guy.
  23. Well would you want to play for Gormless Glen ?
  24. Knowing our luck we will pick up more injuries whilst training. Wish I could feel confident that Gormless Glen will be able to attract any quality players in the remainder of the window
