    Cardozo

Turned down €25m from Newcastle then later bid of €15m from Spurs? I'm tempted to say that this is an article from Goal.com which really isn't really much better than FansFC, Tribal etc.
  2. Spurs draw up their list of options, then go for all of them to check availability, will the player move, salary demands, fee required etc. When that's all sorted out, decide on preferred order and try to close the top one. In the meantime word gets out about the others. It puts a lot of work on Comolli but that's what he's there for. Regarding dos Santos, Marca have said today that it's effectively done. Google translation: There is obviously the business of the century, but the Barcelona levied a run about 15 million by transferring to Milan and Gianluca Zambrotta's Giovani Dos Santos to Tottenham. In the case of Italian international, the club Lombard reached an agreement with Barcelona to pay about EUR 9 million over the possibility of two more variables as if Milan is classified for the Champions. The agreement should have definitely closed yesterday, but in Milan was a public holiday, so everything has been postponed to today where both clubs initialled the agreement. In any case, progress Zambrotta represents a loss of about five million by the Blaugrana club since two seasons ago paid 14 million to Juventus. That means that the international transalpine has been devalued during his stay in the institution Blaugrana. The case of Dos Santos is more serious, if possible, since in principle had been talked about that Barcelona would get a transfer close to 9 million euros by the young Aztec player, but eventually supply has been waning until reduced to ido pyrrhic some six million euros to pay for Tottenham Juande Ramos on the Mexican striker. Barcelona, however, could take five million more in terms of variables if the player achieves targets marked on his new contract as a number of games played and goals scored, among others. Strange, however, the ease with which the Mexican international has gone to English football since discard a player of his progression by only six million euros seems irresponsible more than anything else. What is clear is that these 15 million euros could end up being 22 million, provided that they meet each and every one of the variables agreed in their respective contracts. Zambrotta and Dos Santos will be the first to go, but obviously will not be the last because the list of casualties would continue to grow in the coming days.
  3. Over 2 months ago ................... Another cracking game tonight. Ironical that after comceding 4 goals I thought our best player was Hutton, immense tonight imo. Also heard tonight that we've enquired about Allan McGregor and Carlos Cuellar. Maybe we're after the Rangers' defence? Grant also showed how badly he got it wrong in the Carling Cup, Joe Cole was superb, unlike his namesake Ashley who was an embarrassment to his profession and John Terry who was simply an embarrassment. Still looking good for old rednose for the title. At least, that's what I'm hoping for. http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=50539.msg1250691#msg1250691
  4. More likely to stay than go at the present time. No club has gone near Levy's benchmark for him and Berbatov is maybe thinking that there won't be a repeat of last year. His agent and the club are at least talking about extending his contract but I would guess that will drag on until it's obvious there won't be a late bidder coming in for him. I think it really is a day to day thing, it was only about a fortnight ago that he was near guaranteed to go.
  5. Spanish media are apparently saying dos Santos completed his move last night and Coloccini could follow very soon. Ramos said he wanted all incoming transfers to be completed by the start of pre-season training and it looks like they're trying hard to get it done. I think there are at least 4 more though that they would like to see happen.
  6. Who told you? Baggio? Yes he did, but he asked me not to tell you...........................
  7. Scum board's saying it's them to replace Senderos. Do you spend all day on other clubs message boards spreading their gossip as your own ITK? Did I claim it as such? You read too much into it.
  8. Sounds like Lennon may be on his way.
  9. Scum board's saying it's them with Coloccini replacing Senderos. Would make sense as Senderos is gash and Arsenal badly need another centre back. Agreed, though I think there are a few teams who could do with improving their centre back options. Not really certain who I would like to see replace Dawson, as long as it's not Anton!

    Peter Crouch

Although Redknapp says there has been Pompey contact with Liverpool, I'm sure there will be. That's where I expect Crouchie to be at the start of the season.
  12. Spurs' 'housekeeping' for 2006/7 may have looked good but the figures for the next 2 years won't look so rosy although they won't be anything to lose sleep over. The 'housekeeping' is due to screwing the fans with the second highest ticket prices in the premiership, only the scum up the road charge more.
  13. Scum board's saying it's them to replace Senderos.
  14. I've only seen a little of him ov TV and what's on YouTube, but I'd agree, he's not even close to Bojan. Still, from what's being said, we'll have a closer look next season. There's a lot of people saying it's done and an announcement tomorrow (or today). If that does happen, it would be subject to a medical, he's still recovering from some operation.
  15. It's been widely reported in the media that Inter and Chelsea have been in for him too (GDS did confirm that as well on his own website), but the issue has been how much playing time he would get at those clubs. Being stuck behind Messi and Bojan is not good but I doubt it would be much easier for him at those 2 clubs either. Having Spanish speaking coaches is said have helped and there is talk that GDS's younger brother Jonathon will be joining Spurs as well, he is reputed to be decent but more likely the main reason would be to help GDS settle in England. There was something on GDS's personal website that he would make his final decision on 30 June but that has gone in the past couple of days, which I'm hoping is a good sign.
  16. This half Brazilian kid sounds better............... http://www.sport.es/default.asp?idpublicacio_PK=44&idioma=CAS&idnoticia_PK=514499&idseccio_PK=803 Google translation: ................Zizinho, father of player, explained the daily 'Record' Mexican despite being very close to signing on transfer "is not closed". Former Brazilian footballer added that "it is an honor that teams such as Tottenham are set in Giovani, but there is nothing official yet but is well under way." The young player and its surroundings have been in contact with Juande Ramos and Giovanni's father said in this connection that "the project that is promising and has offered Giovani ambitious and wants to become great in the Tottenham and helping the team to be. It is true that to leave the club this is a risky decision, but for his qualities seem to be the best option for him, "he said Zizinho. Quotes from his Dad and €8m (£5.8m??) give encouragement.
  17. I posted what I heard, not what I read.
  18. Newcastle and Portsmouth both want Crouch, neither club happy with Liverpool's £15m valuation. Thinks Crouch would prefer Pompey, having already played there for Redknapp. Info comes from one of Defoe's mates. Apologies if already posted.
  19. Passing on what I've been told, he was with his agent but nothing is finalised. The medical didn't happen nor is it likely anytime soon. There are also revamped offers from Newcastle and Portsmouth so nothing yet is cut and dried. That's how it is right now, it might be totally different tomorrow.
  20. Is he really that terrible? Rememeber when he was one of the countries brightest talents, just needs a steady club. I think he's too busy having a good time spending his money to remember how he gets his money to have a good time with. Spurs have got 2 that hang out with him and have developed the same traits.
  21. no, at least one of them called it ages ago Spurs say he's signed on the OS. Palace say he hasn't on their OS!!
  22. Anton Ferdinand put on the transfer list, can go for £5m. Think Curbishley put the decimal point in the wrong place tbh.
  23. Pompey being linked with Lennon.

    Henk ten Cate

Clarke will probably be the next to go.
  25. Replaced by the man who took Helmond Sport to 7th in the Dutch 2nd division.................. A struggling Championship club appoint a manager who's finished 7th in the equivalent league in Holland. Martin Jol had just finished 11th in the equivalent league in Holland the season before he went to Spurs. RKC Waalwijk were an Eredivisie team when MJ left, they got relegated in 2007. MJ also left there to become Assistant 1st Team Coach behind Santini, not be the Head Coach.
