How has it gone down? That zebra stripey dealie on the side looks minging IMO. City's kit not out for a while. All I know is, Le Coq. Everyone is complaining about having Umbro. And I agree really, they're s***. Even Derby bloody County have got Adidas now. Though I think next seasons kit is an improvement on the current one, at least the neck is symmetrical and I like the slight bit of yellow trim. The zebra stripe things are rubbish but they're on nearly all the new Umbro kits. Umbro kits are quite nice. We're moving from Hummel (the absolute f****** worst) to Nike, which is supposedly prestigious, but for my money, Nike kits look dull. Hummel is niiice! i heart hummel. The brummie is right Hummel are the worst. Who could ever forget that Sunderland shirt in the 92 Cup Final?

Liverpool fans are arrogant and annoying but at least they have something to be arrogant about. If you speak to any Spurs fan you would think they're Real Madrid. They're an absolute nothing club. Top 5 once in 15 years, their arrogance never fails to astound me, especially when they're no bigger than Sunderland in effect.

Incredible post. Ask any Man Utd fan what they think of him.

It's a rare post when kingdawson isn't talking shite but this is one of those rare occasions. Delima I couldn't possibly disagree more with you. It's amazing how fickle people are, Carrick has been absolutely magnificent in front of the back four in the second half of the season, he's not Roy Keane but he has assets to his game that Keane didn't, and I'm amazed how easily people jump on the band wagon after one shit game.

Absolutely. If you say did the match sell out, then the answer is no. The Ticket Office f*cked up, a couple of staff were sacked as a result. Spurs started to sell them on the day but the police blocked any more sales. WHL was inundated with complaints about it and ticket sales for next season are through a different outlet. So the short answer is no, the tickets weren't all sold but yes, they would have been sold if the Ticket Office/Police had allowed tickets to be sold. PMSL

Fancy signing up to post that. PMSL. 36,000 AGAINST ARSENAL FUCKIN WELL DONE.

Good read that, and it sums them up. Like a Southern Coventry City in effect.

Exactly. No-one cares Jol.

Carragher is an all heart, commanding centre half, he isn't overrated. However, he produced the most inept play I've ever seen from an England international against Sweden in the last World Cup at right back. He's brilliant when he hasn't got the ball.

PMSL I forgot about Dudek.

Jimmy Glass is a legend in Carlisle, didn't make him world class. You know that comparing Carlisle with Roma is making you look ridiculous Yes you are right about Totti that at international level he never showed what he is capable of but at club level he was/is Roma's engine and mainly because of him they won the tittle in 00/01 season. Saying he is the most overrated player in Europe by a mile is just ridiculous opinion I take it there is no word in Turkish or Bulgarian or whatever for irony? It's not ridiculous it's fact. The players he's mentioned alongside is absolutely laughable.

Just read on fansfc that his dream is to play for Tottenham because they're such a massive, well known club across the globe, and they would be his first option should he come to England. He was quoted as saying, "I would even half my salary to comply with Spurs wage bill, because playing for them would be the greatest accolade in any players career." Your sister heard anything about this Jol? No doubt she has.

Seriously though if you were signing for Everton or Liverpool, you would seriously have to consider living a distance away. That's three times in about a year this sort of thing has happened on Merseyside to footballers. That van der Meyde had a bad week last year, went out clubbing got fined £50,000 for that, then played s***, then went home his house had been ransacked, and they even pinched his fuckin dog! I think if you lived close to the city, people would know where you lived, and obviously knew Reina was at Anfield. My mate lives in Wigan and works with Scousers, he gets on alright with them, but he did say, "some of them would steal the skid marks off your y fronts if they could." I think if I played for either of them, I'd move to Southport live Beardsley and Shearer did, or Cheshire.

 Is this some sort of wind up? Nesta is the best centre back in the world. Puyol is top 3. Ronaldinho I won't even go into. Nesta was briefly one of the best three in the world, but for me there are many better, Cannavaro for one.

Have you watched Totti often Stevie by any chance because he's f****** awesome. Watched him many times, and every time I've wondered what the fuss is all about, in fact I've thought "you're shite". There was a great line in The Guardian about him in the last WC, something along the lines of, never has a World Cup winning sides star player offered so little and it's true. I've seen you stick up for him before Jonny, in fairness though, in the main I'm going off his performances for Italy where for me he has looked like a very, very poor man's Iniesta. I've not seen hardly anything of him for Roma though.

Puyol is a brilliant defender. I think 99% of football fans acknowledge the fact Jenas is pony.

1. Francesco Totti - by an absolute mile 2. Xabi Alonso 3. Frank Lampard

They ripped it off from greek club, PAOK. It's been meticulously plotted on one of their message boards for ages. I just find them bizarre really. And yeah, the atmosphere wasn't as good as they made out. It never is. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty loud but no better than a Euro semi-final would be anywhere else in the world. They love to believe their own hype. Aye PAOK ripped it off Argentina, who have sung it for years. If they've took it from PAOK that might be why they sing it out of tune. Argentina sung it well in every game at the World Cup, that's what they were singing when Maradona was seen jumping about in the crowd like a mad man...here... Utterly pathetic people. If ever a club is summed up by one song it's this and if ever a club is summed up by one fan, it's Badgeman, born Glasgow, lives Wakefield, flashing red bike light on his head at Leverkusen away a few seasons ago.
-
I think some of them will be life long toon fans now, Shay Given for example, but do you know who all of our players support (other than us obviously) Given - boyhood Celtic fan, but wasn't very complimentary about their support when he was there, and very much a toon fan now. Milner - Leeds through and through Martins - Man Utd Owen - Liverpool Parker - Tottenham Nicky Butt - Man City anymore...

Agree 100%. blueyes.gif Disgusting club, disgusting fans, disgusting arselicking off the media, disgusting tactics. Yet they will finish the year as champions league winners? Well what the fuck d ye want me to dee?

What a fuckin utter bunch of cunts, and the atmosphere was shit in the most part. That sex case Pleat "no where in Britain can match that atmosphere on a night like this", fuckin kiddin me on??!?!?! Imagine a Semi Final of the Champions League at SJP. In fact I'd go as far to say in general the atmosphere at Shearer's Testimonial was better than that, even the Chelsea fans were taking the piss with their "it's so quiet at Anfield". Anyway I hope the bastards get humped off Man Utd or Milan. Lucky, lucky cunts. As for that pathetic rip off of Argentina's song it defines cringeworthy it's not even in tune. This is how it should be sung...

Come on Chelsea, "I VILL SUPPORT YOU" as the kraut who got injured from my Sunday team once said to us all. "The famous Anfiled Roar" It's shite they sing YNWA for 3 minutes, and pipe right down, till they score. PLEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASE CHELSEA.

Newcastle brought a newspaper about 1988 called "UNITED", and I kid you not the headline on it was "NO GUARANTEES ABOUT MARADONA BUT...."
