  1. I'm not doubting Dowie's medical qualifications but I swear in the Chronicle last week he was quoted saying Carroll had done his ligaments?
  2. Isn't Krul meant to have lost a bit of confidence since the shoulder injury he got at Falkirk?
  3. Keeping with the dream stories, I dreamt we were 1-0 down and we got a pen in stoppages, Shola was stepping up to take it but my alarm went off. Thankfully.
  4. Pretty sure Fulham needed to win on the last day last season, were 2-0 down at half time, brought it back to 2-3 in the last minute of the game. That was a game or two earlier away at Man City. On the last day they won at Pompey I think 1-0
  5. Shola was on the bench on Saturday anyway. Subs Not Used: Krul, Coloccini, Smith, Ameobi. So if you take Bassong and probably Beye out of the team, and Carroll out of the 18, you're left with possible replacements: Owen (if fit) Enrique (if fit) Edgar (saw him with MC Harvey on my way into SJP on Sat) Ranger Geremi Realistic options anyway.
  6. Must be so he can sit in the home end and applaud FYP
  7. Last year he was one of the 3 anchors and Ed Chamberlain did Soccer "Sunday." Probably be the same this year.
  8. FUCK ME how close was that? Crouch hit the post and it rolled along the line
  9. David James out injured, blessing or curse? Portsmouth: Begovic, Johnson, Campbell, Distin, Hreidarsson, Utaka, Davis, Mullins, Hughes, Kanu, Crouch. Subs: Ashdown, Primus, Kaboul, Nugent, Traore, Basinas, Belhadj. Sunderland: Fulop, Bardsley, Davenport, Ferdinand, Collins, Tainio, Malbranque, Whitehead, Leadbitter, Richardson, Jones. Subs: Colgan, Edwards, Cisse, Murphy, Reid, Healy, McShane. Referee: Alan Wiley (Staffordshire).
  10. Shearer himself said it was "probably right" after the game, not exactly a convincing argument for it getting overturned.
  11. Eh? All the matches kick off at 4pm don't they? Probably just the difference in build-up to the game and then Sky go multi-screen at kick-off. Last year Sky had at least one game on the red button
  12. That'll be to get him some match practice. Otherwise he'd be going to face Eto'o, Messi et al without having played for a month.
