53 mins - GREAT SAVE! Huddersfield's Alex Smithies is at full stretch to turn Ameobi's piledriver behind after the latest of many strong runs from LuaLua. Then from the resulting corner, Coloccini controls a half-volley which Smithies does well to palm over the bar. The minute the world went mad

Found out why Beye was angry: 46 mins - United have made four changes as they attack towards the massed ranks of their fans in The Pink Line stand. Habib Beye is replaced by Ryan Taylor, Jose Enrique gives way for Tamas Kadar, Shola Ameobi is on for Xisco and Damien Duff takes the place of Jonas Gutierrez. if I was being replaced by Ryan Taylor, I'd want to kick someone in as well

.co.uk's version It's 0-0 at the break and the game has been rather like the weather - drab. Both teams are playing some good stuff but there isn't a great deal of end product so far. There's nothing boring about the scenes by the tunnel at half time though - Colin Calderwood has to get involved to prevent a scuffle breaking out as the teams head off! Beye is a very angry man these days.

28mins - A let-off for United! Pilkington's lofted pass is nodded down by Robbie Simpson, Coloccini fails to cut it out and Theo Robinson flashes a shot across goal from a tight angle 12 yards out. :colo:

Christ, imagine if he decides to stay, puts Shearer in charge tomorrow and gives him some wedge. I wouldn't know what to fucking think
-
Ashley: Hughton and Calderwood led us to a win at WBA last season and I'm fully confident it will happen again. Derek: We have at least 2 players who can score goals.

It's. All. Shit. One paper contradicts another shocker. Llambias says we've had at least 2 bids over £100m but was quoted at the weekend as saying it would be sold to the first "past the post." The Journal doesn't know, The Chronicle doesn't know, Caulkin doesn't know, nufc.com don't know, Skirge doesn't know, I don't even think Llambias knows. We're just mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed the shite. The players have been on record saying they don't know what's going on, at the weekend Hughton said on his SSN interview something like "it could be one day, it could be 5 days," and for a brief moment I thought, hold on, he's left qutie a small gap between those two eventualities, maybe something will this week. Then I remembered that nothing ever happens, it's July 21st and we have sweet fuck all.

Read in the Metro this morning the first game for England U19s is today at 3pm on British Eurosport
-
Your 3pm press conference post (yes, really)

If it was a girl it was going to be called Nani
-
This is all very true, but given his reputation and age, would it really surpirse you if he was the third choice for one of the more massive clubs? I guess when you consider Ross Turnbull is Chelsea's number 2 then anything is possible
-
Tarnished what? He might be great, he might be shit. One UEFA cup game and some Scottish League games for Falkirk (and a few in League One for Carlisle) is hardly enough to say he'd fit in at a top class club.
-
But but but...we have AT LEAST TWO bids of £100m. I hate you Derek, you shit.
-
Thing is with Shola he's shit physically, which is ridiculous considering his size. His flaws would have been very clear in Stoke's system
-
If we're playing in front of 20k or less every week and it's not on TV, Shola will have an ok season.
-
If Shearer is still callnig the shots, Krul is clearly the number 2 in his eyes. Once Shearer was appointed the whole Forster/Krul bench swap thing ended anyway.

The abuse PM got for giving the good news
-
Should say "between them have played in at least 2 countries" tbh
-
If it's what I saw before it's pretty dull, just him stumbling over his words about how we have 52,000 people and the like.
-
Basically, why quit if you have nothing else lined up? He probably enjoys the work and the extra responsibility, it's not as if he's in the press moaning everyday about how overworked he is.
-
No he's getting paid too much to fail at doing his job. You're thinking of Keith Harris
-
I feel sorry for him that nobody can spell his name. HUGHTON.
