We've been so lucky with keepers over the past fifteen years. It would be safer if he was a local lad but at least he's not Spanish or Italian because they eventually end up at Barca/Real/Inter/Milan if they're any good. The good Dutch teams can't compete with us financially.
Right, not the quickest but defensively very sound and positionally very good. Had some issues with Mourinho - some ego issues iirc. Capped for Italy a few times and two years ago everyone said that he's the future national team captain. Don't know what's happened to him since.
The only thing I'm worried about is his average pace, but maybe he's become quicker and stronger since he first broke through.
Arsenal are missing six starters. Chill. This is not their real first team. Sagna, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Song, Wilshere and Gervinho. Their squad is weak, but their first team is still easily good enough to get them 4th.
Cabaye looked a lot more comfortable on the ball today. He's taking more time and his range of passing is wider than anyone else in our first team. He's slowly starting to take control of the pace of our attacks, playing it long (and accurate) at times and keeping it short and simple at others.
Playing a bit part of fourteen league matches in two years wasn't going to be good for his confidence. He looks like he's got good technique and pace, and can handle Premiership defending. He just needs games, really.
