I'd keep Bassong, Enrique, Guthrie, S Taylor, Harper, Beye, Gutierrez and Martins. Everyone else can go (the kids like Carroll and Ranger are obvious keeps).

When I think about it, I really don't care if there are gloryseekers who support us. I don't care when and why people start supporting us. They're supporters, so we've all got that in common. Who cares if they started supporting us when we were good? However, on another level, I'll be glad that those people who support us and watch football because all their mates do, will stop. I'm sure this forum will lose a few members and it might be for the better. St James' will lose a few people but I bet those who go are those who care. Who knows, with the prices bound to drop, we might get some real fans in. We might get some noise. It won't be fashionable to watch and support us anymore. Anyone who does it from today will do it because they care. yes, it'll be great when our commercial income plummets. it is not just about fans deserting, you have to think about fans as a fluid entity, some leaving for various reasons (losing interest, dying, moving away, not having access to the club on the telly etc) and others being added for various reasons. next season because we're not in the premiership we will add close to zero new fans and lose a huge amount. I think we can get 30-35k next year for our home matches. So we lose about 15k, which is obviously a lot. The price reduction will hurt the club financially even more. It's going to be incredibly tough to bounce back after one season.

Yep. Should have forced him to stay, no matter what. That's what teams do when they want to keep players. They don't just 'oh well, he wants to go...'. No. You force the cunt to stay and rot in the reserves. You think Fergie told Ronaldo 'hey, you can go if you really want to'. No. He forced him to stay because it was better for Man Utd that he stayed. It would have been better for Newcastle if Given stayed. Epic fail by the board and Kinnear on this. I don't even want to think about what else went down in the transfer window.

Firstly, what's the deal with this relegation clause? If no one at the club bothered to insert an automatic wage reduction then, well, wow. Secondly, here's a list of the shittiest players we have at the club and when their contract expires. Nolan = 2013 Duff = 2011 R Taylor = 2013 Smith = 2012 Butt = 2010 Ameobi = 2012 These guys aren't leaving. You think Smith will give up £60k? To play for who? Which team in the Premiership will actually give us money for him? You think Nolan is leaving after signing for £4m? Forget it. Pencil him and Butt in for the CM role next year. Do it now so you don't get pissed off when it actually happens. This re-building shit ain't happening. We're going to lose our best players (Enrique, Bassong, Gutierrez and Martins) and not surprisingly, these guys are the young players in our team.

I hope all of them do so all of them can fuck off. There's only 3 or 4 players who I would want the club to keep. The rest can and hopefully will fuck off.

I still can't believe it. I don't think it's going to sink in until next season starts.

No fight at all. I don't even feel any sadness because it's not like this was a tragedy. This was deserved. We deserve to be relegated. I'm fucking pissed off.

We lost 2-1 in my dream last night. Scored an early goal, then lost two goals in the second half. -

Fergie's already planning to play Park because he offers more defensively than Ronaldo does on the right. So that's why Ronaldo's up front with Berbatov and Tevez on the bench. Man Utd will play defensive, hope to score on in the first twenty minutes then defend for the rest of the way, which they're very capable of. The game the neutrals want to see will only happen if Barca score first and early (first 15-20 minutes). I still think Barca will win this. -

That's from a couple of papers in Spain and Italy. I'd personally put Sylvinho at LB but I agree with the rest of the team. -

I know our game is of monumental importance, but this match is inching ever closer. It seems Fergie will leave Berbatov and Tevez on the bench, going with Rooney, Park and Ronaldo up front. It looks to me as if he's expecting his wide players (Rooney and Park) to track back and defend, which points to a more defensive gameplan. -

Where did Tevz go just after that game??I have no faith in Manchester United..they're as crooked as Dale Winton. (I think bent is the word you're after) As for the rest it was "you let us have Tevez and we'll allow you to score" Allegedly. Oh but I forgot, there's no such corruption in the Premiership, or old pals acts. WH didn't own Tevez anyway so why would Man Utd ask them for Tevez? Why am I even responding to some shit conspiracy theory?

Federer just beat Nadal 6-4 6-4. That really looked like the Federer of old.

Why did Taylor rush towards the goal? Why not stand and mark Kamara? Nevland couldn't shoot because Harper was so close, so why did Taylor not stand his ground and force Nevland to do something instead of giving him the easy pass to Kamara? -
Nonsense. He's a twenty two year old man and this is his fourth season of seeing significant action at a high level of football. ITt's poor defending and that's an even poorer excuse. He's a kid playing his first season away from home in a shitty, shitty team with no protection in front of him. He's going to be a star. Yes, he fucked up today but he's been our best player this season so let's not knee-jerk and say he's been only average or good; he's been immense.

Hit the post once and the other one was very well-saved. He's our only hope for a goal.
