  1. Where I can find a link to a legal stream of MoTD?
  2. We need draws, man. Lots and lots of draws over the next few weekends would do us good (if we can win a couple).
  3. Aye, today was a good battling draw against one of the best teams in the world but I would rather we beat Wigan last weekend & lost this game, that is how it would be if I was football god & had the power to influence such things. In terms of points, yes, that would have been better. But in terms of our confidence and looking forward to our next few games, a draw today at a contending team will be of much more benefit.
  4. Kinnear's just playing the media game, man.
  5. By the way, I heard Gallas had a bust-up with Walcott. Think that refers to the match against Spurs, and the '6 years younger than me' comment refers to van Persie. Wenger has told him he can go if he wants to.
  6. Voted neither because I don't trust Zoggy defensively enough. Duff was doing well and even if it's the only thing he does, he keeps possession. No, he will never run at their goal. No, he will never try an ambitious pass, and no, he will never shoot. But he keeps possession and in a game like today, we needed that. Zoggy loves to take on players and sometimes it comes off, but he obviously loses possession a lot of the times and we couldn't afford that today.
  7. Anelka looked like his old self again, which was great to see. Colo and Bassong had him in their respective back pockets.
  8. Agree with this except Colo deserves a higher rating. Butt is a useless fucker and his shit passes almost killed us. One 'no-look' back pass was to a fucking Chelsea player, and another dumb header gave Ballack an easy chance, which he obviously missed. Guthrie carried him the whole game and he desperately needs replacing.
  9. The Robinho and Johnson goals were class. If a goal was to ever exemplify the Brazilian way of playing football, Robinho's did. The Johnson was a stunner, left-foot half-volley looping into the top corner. What a strike.
  10. Fucking awesome. I'm proud Colo and Bassong were our best players. I have a couple of gripes with the substitutions and how we took off our two most offensive players which lead to a 15 minute spell in which we couldn't get out of our own half, but oh well, we did very well and credit to all the players and Kinnear. That point was definitely earned.
  11. And still you think Bassong has been our best player? Yes. How many shots has Anelka had in the box? Zip, zero, zilch, nada. Bassong's overwhelmed their attackers in the air and he's made a couple of nice tackles as well. Done nothing wrong.
  12. We did well, considering who we're playing against. Jonas and Bassong have been our best players. Oh, man, Jonas Never loses the ball, keeps it well and he's not afraid to try stuff (and pull it off!) Owen's been quiet and Martins hasn't done enough holding the ball up but we've been a pass away from scoring twice so it's been positive so far. Yes, they've dominated possession but we're covering and they haven't had a gilt-edge chance yet. I don't Anelka or Lampard have even had shots. Our whole backline has been good. Even though Jose's been quiet poor on the ball, he's kept J Cole very quiet and Beye, on the other side, has done likewise with Malouda. Our CM pairing are still a bit slow in covering the space between them and the defence but we can't drop too deep or one goal will really open the floodgates. Most of their attacks have come from Bosingwa (who Duff just leaves for Enrique, who's marking to Cole, to also mark) or their wingers drifting into the space in the middle, so we've gotta watch out for that.
  13. http://www.runofplay.com/tag/the-tuesday-portrait/ Click on the one that says 'Carlos Tevez'. Should be September 9th.
  14. I mean 90 league goals, by the way (missed that out in the earlier post). 0.75 goals/game. Awesome.
  15. In his last 29 league matches, Samuel Eto'o has scored 29 league goals!! Fuck me, I never realised he was so prolific. Roughly 120 league matches for Barca and about league goals for them. That's an insane ratio. Incredible.
  16. Yeah, they just need one inept managerial appointment and to sell Kaka and then they'll have a fall from grace to rival ours. Pato will be awesome in a few years so Milan ain't go anywhere. Aren't they top of the league? They're up there, but I don't think they're top. Think they moved up into 2nd today. Still doesn't stop them being shite, mind. When Gattuso is pushing on, as are Inzaghi, Seedorf, Emerson, Jankulovski, etc. Even if Pato does turn good (although he's not one I rate all that highly) they still need a lot more than that to ensure they don't keep slipping. Milan haven't lost in 10 and have charged up the table. I think they'll give Inter a good run. They've got money and will spend again when necessary.

  18. I put Laursen and Ireland on the bench for Jonas and Clichy...
  19. I don't rate him anyway so I'm with KK (or not, if Rich is right).
  20. He'd probs be shit if he was here. Such is the state of the club. Keegan wanted him, didn't get him, dunno why. The opposite happened if I remember correctly. He came on trial and KK said 'no'.
  21. How did Duff not stop the header on the line? That's his fucking job.
