Shola was useless ten god damned years ago, why are we still using him. -

They've had 3 times as many chances. We've had almost 15shots on goal. I don't know how many they have had but I bet it's not close to ten. 15 shots on goal? I very much doubt that. We had 11 at 40 mins. -

I think the overall negativity on this forum has affected people's perception of how that half went. We were the better team and if we keep it up, we'll win. We have passed the ball well too for the first time in a long time. -

This is also true but it's more due to our careless we've been and how shit Williamson is rather them actually playing well and opening us up. -

It's a massive improvement on West Ham. If we play like this in the second half, we'll win. We've been close to scoring, just a few bad final balls. Ba's hit the post, Ben Arfa has been magic and we've dominated possession. -

Absolutely no reason for Williamson to drop deep there. -

Just checked and you can retire if you inform them in advance. Apparently Makelele hadn't officially informed the French FA that he was done. -

Sounds like they did tbh: "Immediately following the Premier League fixture against West Ham United on Sunday the Club went through the normal communication channels to advise the Senegalese Federation that both Papiss and Demba Ba would not be available for the international friendly match between Niger and Senegal scheduled for Wednesday, 14th November 2012, due to injury." No idea what 'normal communication channels' are in this case but we're claiming we got in touch. I'm not convinced - weren't most people of the impression Cisse would be off on international duty? I don't know the facts either of course, but even if Senegal did have a grudge against us, they'd need something to work with in order to lodge this claim, some failure/incompetence in procedure. Not sure of the exact regulations tbh, I'd need to have a little dig for them. They've obviously got FIFA on their side though so there's not much we can do in all honesty. From a completely selfish point of view I hope he tells them to fuck off and retires from International football. You actually can't retire from international football. They can pick you anytime they want. I've heard that before but surely it's bollocks. It amounts to fucking slavery- he doesn't want to do and has no contract saying he has tot but is forced to. It's not even slightly enforceable. I remember Makelele being called up after he quit when he didn't want to play anymore but was forced to. That's why I'm saying it. I'm not sure if FIFA clarified the situation after that. Maybe they did and you're allowed to quit. -
You cannot quit international football.

The point about refs being recorded is also excellent. We see it in other sports. This would clear up a lot of issues and I think would help solve a lot of the abuse that players give to refs because the world would hear it.
-
I do think Chelsea are afraid to report Clattenberg for fear of a backlash from other refs. This is definitely a factor in their decision making process. The previous article made a lot of sense, imo. There might not be evidence of overt racism in the game but covertly it probably still exists.

HTT lost it when Hitzfeld said no to him. He hasn't recovered.
-
Why hasn't Dan updated this shit? We're only -3. We're still doing ok but we have to continue winning our home matches.
-
Man Utd have more points from losing positions than we do in total
-
Three months into the season and we have only lost to Man Utd and Chelsea. We haven't played our best but we're realistically only 3 points behind where we're targeting. It's been a decent start to the season. We have many good players and a decent manager. We'll be fine.
-
So many people on here need to reassess their views of what a good away performance is. Man Utd played worse than we are doing at Anfield. It's been a very good away performance. We have defended very well. 99% of us would have taken a point from this match and we played like we wanted that in the first half, which was fine.
