  1. lampard and ballack dont work at all.
  2. makelele done absolutely nothing wrong though, can tell why he was upset
  3. I agree i remember him playing a few times thinking he is just awful - most notably against Arsenal a couple of years ago, he was wholely responsible for all 4 or 5 goals!
  4. Says who? His agent? Really hate the word 'potential' in football o and also 'the next ..'! boils my piss
  5. Ibrahimovic or the Hernan Crespo for a year, stop gap until we break into Europe
  6. Given Beye Bernard Albert Woodgate Solano Ginola Lee Batty Shearer Beardsley
  7. If this transfer gets hijacked just how gutted would people on here be?
  8. Players sorting out there futures in the middle of a big tournament isn't tyhe greatest thing in the world. Im sure the national manager doesnt like it.
  9. If Fernando Torres was in the Arsenal side, i reckon Arsenal could be truly frightening. As for now they have had a pretty good season regardless of being trophy less. Like most have said one top class striker and less fucking about they could of had this season in the bag.
  10. Agree. See the thread I created in the summer and the abuse I got. Some reason he is rated *very* low on here. He always is a threat with the ball at his feet, and has improved his aerial game immensely. Peter CROUCH CROUCH CROUCH. I'd love to see him here, agree with you lads, I can't understand why he's so under-rated, not only on here, but everywhere you go theres Crouch haters. He's like Marmite, or Vegemite, or whatever that rank spread is, you either love him or you hate him. I hate that stuff, I love Crouch though! can't run or jump. he ain't even strong so cant even hold the ball up well.
  11. I disagree, the money is always useful. No player is worth £100m, not even Ronaldo. One bad tackle and it could be curtains. Spending a further £50m on the youth set up and recruitment and using the other £50m on a giant piss up would produce just as much, if not more, sucess than Ronaldo alone can potentially generate. thats why clubs take out insurance on their players.
  12. have always admired del Piero's football. love watchind Andrea Pirlo play too, also Hleb.
  13. Birmingham away are pretty tough nuts, especially since McLeish took over. Fulham, Sunderland and Reading at home definitely looke the easier fixtures before last night. Mr Hindsight has entered the building I think. Did they look like 'pretty tough nuts' to you last night? they have not lost there since november or so i heard yesterday so yes.

    Who is better?

Better football played (imo) I trust him more when it comes to signings - Juan Veron?? Instills a belief in a side like no other. Arguably nurtures the youth better. Knows when to sell players at the right time. All valid

    Who is better?

Fair enough if you rate Wenger better but having a better reserve team (not sure they have looking at Man Utd's bench last night) doesn't make you a better manager, does it? I meant he has transformed everything top to bottom. doesnt need to spend mega bucks too. look at net spend and they are down in 16th or 17th. so on THAT basis and being super competitive after all that i would say he was a better manager definetly.

    Who is better?

Man Utd's second string couldnt beat half the premiership. wenger for me.
  17. The day we started propelling backwards down the league was when Shepherd tried to sign Rooney. Signed Kluivert without consent of SBR, messed him around with new contract. He basically tried to run the whole team in that summer.
  18. Selling woodgate probably was, in view of his fitness record and future prospects. I didn't say that if we hadn't got him back it wouldn't have been a good deal by the way, now he appears to have got over his problems. Its the comments and apparent attitude coming out of the club which I'm commenting on, along with the abysmal dealings of last summer to compound the comments at the time. Allardyce chose the players he wanted - he weren't even appointed by Ashley. Allardyce said himself there was money to spend! Old board you couldnt exactly say they let there managers have full control - Rooney bid!? Kluivert?!
  19. reading, fulham and sunderland
