  1. There are other factors though. That make it nearly impossible to drop Owen. To Ashley, Owen is Newcastles most marketable asset. Won't like it, Keegan won't want to upset the boss so early on. Owen is England's darling, negative press attention not what we need right now. Owen is still a top player. Top players you should keep happy.
  2. if keegan resigns amidst fans calling for his head - i would honestly quit supporting Newcastle.
  3. Foster Carroll Zoggy Martins Cacapa Majority of that bench would transform the first team !

    The man for NUFC

What an absolute load of s***. We've probably got the shortest, most lightweight midfield in the whole league. I'd love it if you could enlighten me as to how these midgets manage to out muscle other teams and play a physical game? Even our defensive midfielders are nothing on the likes of Diop and Faye. Our team and style of play has actually changed in the last few years you know? Seems you haven't noticed. We've played some great stuff at times this season with the interplay between Osman, Pienaar and Arteta a joy to watch when they're in form. Agreed i have watched you many times this year, especially Arteta at times it seems absolutely impossible for him to lose possession of the ball. He really is a classy performer, he makes things tick. I think he wouldnt look out of place in any major side.

    The man for NUFC

david moyes if we get him and doesnt win in his first 6 games, then what? 'he was never good enough' 'lost it' 'club too big for him' 'style never going to suit NUFC' etc, etc
  8. "must be a bit of a t***" - In that case I think Carr, Smith, Barton should be dropped as well, those lads got no character whatsoever and they are no better than Enrique per se. However, I cannot believe KK still plays Zog at LB, I mean Zog should be an offensive weapon, not a suicidal defensive punter. Christ, hasn't KK seen any Newcastle games on video from the Allardyce era? KK may be a hero but he hasn't got a clue what he's doing. He's lost it. Sad but true. Ah well, have a great weekend anyway forum-people! WTF Look at the games he has had!!!! When will people realise that not even Wenger/Ferguson could win with this shower of shite. His selections - no Enrique - must have been a reason. You don't know and i don't know that one. If Enrique weren't able to play i would rather the Zog there tbh. Duff LW.
  9. i honestly wish we would conduct business now with clubs. at least give out some positive vibes during this awful awful period of NUFC. we have nothing to look forward too, so signing a few players now for july 1st would be a positive move. get in there first, in some respects.
  10. I agree with most of that except for where we would be with Allerdyce, I don't think we would have a single point more. In some ways I wish he was still here, just so he could get the stick he deserves and suffer the s**** we're having to suffer, instead of sitting at home with all those £millions. Well I don't think we'd have been humped like we have recently under Allardyce but who's to know. Would we have been better off spending £6 million on sacking Allardyce or keeping him on and spending that money on Lassana Diarra? what part of 90k don't you understand??
  11. Do you mean like the team who has given Derby almost 50% of the 9 points they've won to date. Do you think we could beat Spurs, Everton or even West Ham at home right now? Or draw with Arsenal or Aston Villa at home? Or beat Bolton away when they had both Anelka and Diouf playing? Spending less than £10 million on a squad that came 13th last season and expecting too much is why we are where we are right now. they didn't play Diouf till like 60-70 minutes. When they started to dominate. Not sure whether Anelka was playing, think he was on bench too.
  12. UEFA Cup. Glenn Roeder got further than him tbh. Will he take Everton to Champions League? Everton are a midtable club, who will push for a UEFA spot every year. Newcastle has the budgets, wage structure, definetly fanbase and greater ambition (believing Ashley/Mort) i dont personally believe Everton can match us. They have a better squad yes, but not much else.
  13. David Moyes is the type of manager we should be aiming for. Sadly we're unable to attract a manager of his calibre to this club I feel. Oh ye because he can take Everton so much further. Newcastle Utd whether people disagree or not is probably the 5th or 6th biggest job you can take in the Premiership. We can offer the wages, fanbase, budgets to push for CL football every year. What's stopping us? the shower of shite on the pitch for starters. get rid of them!
  14. I don't go to games or buy merchandise. Follow the results, regulary view this forum. Only 21 but started supporting Newcastle in the KK years with Andy Cole. When used to play football pretend i was Peter Beardsley, so you can say i grew up always as a NUFC fan. Been to only 3 games, last one went to was Wolves vs Newcastle - fa cup so weren't the best. Watch every newcastle i can on television. If this makes me less of a fan - well fuck ya. primarily speaking to NM and CG.
  15. keegan and defensive? never in million years. that is why i love the guy. Man Utd aren't the greatest team in the world. Football is very unpredictable, who knows in the first five minutes we could of had a penalty and them being reduced to ten men.

Hoyte is the worst player i have seen for Arsenal for some time
  18. Terry is hugely overrated. Has never been convincing at Int. level. Woodgate is/was a better defender. Haven't seen him play for a long time, not sure standard he is playing at anymore.
  19. In the Big Sam + Bung kind of way? Allegedly

    Spineless Toon

The Premiership has improved considerably since then. Look at Man City, Portsmouth, Blackburn, Villa, Spurs, Everton and West Ham all those sides have improved significantly since then. Whereas we have gone backwards bigtime, we have lost ALL our matchwinners Robert, Bellamy, Shearer and Solano. Also Gary Speed, who was never fully appreciated did a very good job. Only area we have improved is Defense - we just can't protect it enough, pass or attack anymore.

    Keegan is

I see very little or no improvement on Allardyce reign. Still picking Smith for starters ...... Your not really a supporter through thick and thin, are ya mate? To be fair the Gunt is one of the true hardcore supporters on here, so you're talking plop. Pardon me, in his posts you must agree there isn't a lot of support he may attend all the games but there is a thing as unfair criticism and giving a guy time. Keegan has a huuuuuuuge job on his hand. Our team can't play the football he wants - fact. Not his team.

  23. Good point - Bellamy is the most recent one I can think of which is pretty depressing. N'Zogbia, Faye (hasn't stagnated), Given, Bellamy, Woodgate
