Don't get what has happened to him. 11 goals and 10 assists in the PL in 2023/24. Where is that player.
-
All those instances were big debates in football circles. Big section of Liverpool fans wanted Slot out too in case you missed that one too.
-
? You must have been a sleep. Arsenal fans moaning about being boring and only capable of scoring via set pieces. Wanting a change. Man City were dreadful last season and were very inconsistent start of this season. Villa started without scoring a goal in ... how many games?
-
Villa fans wanted Emery gone at the start of the season. Arsenal wanted Arteta gone at the start of the season. Man City wanted Pep gone last season.. and even earlier on this season. Seems that sticking with a manager who has a track record of sorting the team out actually pays off.
-
Iraola not won a game since late October. Glasner not won in 4 games, just lost 4-1 to Leeds. It's a very competitive league, form fluctuates.
-
You were saying he looks clueless and doesn't know what he's doing anymore. He's shown many, many times already that he can fix the issues in the team. So why not give him the opportunity. Bizarre. People want rid but who comes in and does better?
-
He is a nailed on future England manager. He has many, many admirers.
-
Has he not turned around poor form before?
-
Sounds like there are loads of world class coaches who are available and will come in and do the job. It's not like our current manager has ever turned around our poor form previously and has fixed areas of the team that's not working short memories.
-
Referring to how Conte and Mourinho treated the Spurs job. Which they both thought was beneath them and didn't even try.
-
We can't effectively counter press with Nick. Isak stopped pressing at the end of last season and our form dove tailed. We are having to adapt
-
Someone who will think the job is beneath them? Like Conte and Mourinho at Spurs or Ancelotti at Everton. Sounds sensible.
-
How? He wanted Ekitike and Mbeumo FFS. And before that Rafinha and Olise.
-
Sad and predictable responses in here. Dominated every aspect of the game but couldn't score. Couldn't find any space against their back 6. Poor subs, someone should have taken their chances for us tonight.
-
I hate some of our fanbase sometimes
-
We know he wanted Ekitike, Mbeumo, João Pedro, Cunha and Liam Delap in the last window. It's fair to say he didn't get his first picks, not sure why he gets so much blame when targets are unavailable or go elsewhere. The Isak to Woltemade shift in play are the reason why we no longer play coherently on the pitch for full 90 minutes. We haven't figured out how we transition with Nick just yet.
-
Why would people think he has taken us as far as he can? He's succeeded expectations every time until this point, he's beaten the best teams with inferior squads, won a cup with a weaker squad. We have punched above our weight nearly his entire time here. This season has been highly, highly unusual. He always turns form around but there is some figuring out to do. To lose patience with him now and appoint someone who potentially doesn't have a clue is reckless
-
Even if we lose both those fixtures. I would like to think he will have the January window to fix some of the issues in the squad.

@et tu bruteis the thickest and angriest member of this forum by a distance. Bad combo.

The shit show of the summer transfer window has caught up with us. Eddie is the best manager in my lifetime, every time there is heat on him, he's always turned it around for us. He knows how to solve this slump. Don't understand anyone who wants him gone. Villa fans wanted Emery gone earlier in the season, ditto with Arsenal and Arteta and look how they have both rebounded. Eddie has always done the same.
-
First half we were really really good I thought.
-
Call out half of RTG calling them 'cowards' and then have to use ignore function because you're an emotional state. Can't make it up.
-
They are happy to cede possession, stay very very compact and therefore allow plenty of crosses into the box. With our physical presence we should be able to take advantage.
