QPR vs Newcastle Utd - 12/05/13 @ 3pm (No TV) - a win confirms safety
dcmk replied to TaylorJ_01's topic in Football
Hopefully QPR play this game in a half-arsed friendly-like manner. Although with it being the last home game of the season for them, I doubt that -
Not got much of a choice if he doesn't want to be here. I'd rather have a player who imposes himself and gets goals anyway. Cabaye does have six this season tbf. I'm not saying he doesn't want to leave, just pointing out that actively wanting to sell him is lunacy. Its not tbh, he doesn't have what it takes to play in the EPL at the very top and his comments about getting depressed can be evidence of that. Can't really believe that post tbh being depressed for a short period has nothing to do with ability.

Probably more upset with the prospect of being relegated again like, just a hunch. I think everyone is Toon's Taylor, I know I couldn't stomach watching from 60-90 - it was truly abject s*** today. Back on topic with the guy in charge - this guy needs to go, I think with the exception of one or two, everyone agrees. But that shouldn't stop people, who see one or two positives in a f***ing tragic situation, from posting in this thread because Interpolic or someone else might lose his rag, again. Less than a month ago you were claiming anyone who wanted him gone couldn't "see the big picture". I can fully understand why IP's so p*ssed off, the smug condescending attitude of the people who've backed him has been excruciating all season. It's been like watching a slow motion car crash whilst standing next to a load of mugs telling you how hysterical you're being and of course that child flying through the air will be fine if you just stop being so bloody negative about his prospects. Anyone who couldn't see this coming at least six months ago simply doesn't know very much about football. Sorry like but that's the truth of the matter. Plenty like to dress it up and call it "staying positive" when what they actually mean is living in a dream world so far detached from reality that they might as well be on the f***ing moon. Yeah you're right about that. I was. That's changed since the Liverpool game where it appeared the players just didn't give a fuck. A big part of why I supported Pardew was because it seemed the players liked and respected him and that perhaps unusual circumstances had caused results to drop so badly. That theory is now blown apart.

The lads in the trenches didn't have Pardew leading them. Reminds me of David Schwimmer's character in Band of Brothers -

The reason he's upset is because not everyone shares his opinion and he can't cope with it, it's his goto action to get personal. It's ridiculous.

...and yet you replied the first time around after saying exactly that! How dense can one be.

Wow, how admirable. You've got a lovely habit of making out like people are being unreasonable when they have an opposing view like. Your argument against me tonight's been wooly at best and absolutely batshit mental to the point of being totally pointless at worst. Sure you'll come up with another wisecrack remark to make yourself look clever like, but the quite unbelievable point is that you thought today was a positive day for NUFC. That's just incredible and we're still skirting around that point. If you really believe that then you're off your rocker. His opinion isn't even hard to grasp. He chooses not to drown in the negatives of today, as what good does it do to anyone's mood or help anything? There was a few positives from the performance like defence and a clean sheet, team not falling apart or in complete dissarray like last weekend, not many positives at all, especially considering the results this weekend! But I can see why someone could think like this. You might mistake it for WUM'ming but he's clearly explained it and if it upsets you so much then maybe engaging in an internet message board isn't a good idea. You're a proven div, I'm not going to bother replying to you properly. Proven div.. how mature! You have a breakdown when someone doesn't support your view on here. Grow up FFS, looks ridiculously childish.

Gotta love Lewandowski, he's like a RVP-lite edition.
-
Best option is he keeps us up and then we replace him with someone good in the summer. Sacking him now would inevitably mean a caretaker manager taking charge, if he keeps us up he will then get the permanent gig because he is unattached and cheap, Roeder all over again.

What a shit corner that was.

Other than the first sentence Bird has made some very good points.. that set-pieces paragraph is nonsense.

Maybe something like this? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/fa_cup/4756045.stm

He does try to be liked by his players - i don't see this as any issue, I think any good manager would do the same. As long as it doesn't get in the way of criticising them when they aren't performing, then it isn't an issue. Cisse's half time video for example. Jonas quite publicly, Ben Arfa's omission from starting line-ups etc is evidence that it doesn't.

Shape looks a lot better
-
Well that start is gonna disappoint a few people on here.
-
From Saturdays fixture through until the end of this season, he has no excuses left to use. If the team wins tomorrow, after having a weeks break in between fixtures and away to a good team, he buys himself quite a lot of time.
-
If they're still defending him after losing 3-0 at home to Sunderland with Di Canio preening like a peacock then what's left to say? Aye, thing is i'm not saying this after losing to Sunderland, as emotive as that is. I just can't believe they have watched us this whole season and think he deserves to stay. Tbf, I think you were one of those who had doubts even when we were doing well last season. I was, but it was the football style then I'm a hater of long ball/hoofball, for me that's the football of a lazy manager, a percentage manager who isn't good enough to get his team to pass the ball. I actually unlike some, don't mind Pardew the bloke but the football, oh god. Its so poor that it beggars belief and if i do blow my own trumpet, tis i that came up with Set Penises Those set penises are a sacking offence alone IMO. Nothing showcases Pardew's lack of imagination more clearly than our impotent corners. It's not just Pardew though is it. What do Steve Stone, Carver and the like actually do in training? It feels like we run the coaching side on a shoestring - I'm pretty sure other clubs have a larger number of staff in the coaching department. As far as I can see it's just Pardew, Carver, Steve Stone and Woodman. Not sure if that's enough coaching talent for a Premier league team. Might be something in what you say but Sir Bobby had Carver, Wadsworth and who else ? Sir Bobby was a better manager, tbh it really is that simple. SBR had very clear idea of his football philosophy though. High energy midfield and lots of pace. All the technical coaches in the world can't help if the man at the top doesn't know what to do. Incidentally, SBR also knew how to adapt to the players he had. With Big Dunc and Shearer he was quite happy to play long ball, but he still moved to a quick passing game once he was able to buy his own players. The season we finished 5th under SBR we must have played about 5 minutes of football that year. It wasn't good by any means.

You cant be serious. Pardews fault that Yanga Mbiwa was complete w*** today.. how protected can a set of players get? Honestly. I agree that the players should be getting their fare share of stick, but you can't say that it is merely a coincidence that the likes of MYM, Sissoko, Gouffran are suddenly playing crap at the same time? Not to mention the form of the other players that have been here longer. MYM hasn't been playing crap at all. I have been very impressed with him. Today was his worse game IMO. And Sissoko being played in a bit of an alien position for him has a great deal of assists to his name already. So would hardly say he's playing shit either. Gouffran on the other hand.. no one knows how good he really is. This particilar angle that is used against Pardew is totally overplayed. I don't think our supporters particularly want to critise these new players
-
If we had been a bit better when going forward we mightn't have had our players being put under as much pressure, just a thought. So that explains why MYM and Taylor couldn't do even the simple things today. Right-o!
