  1. I don't like the look of this!
  2. Shocking stuff so far. We have been terrible especially in defence. Fantastic finish for their first though.
  3. Harper Rozehnal Milner Zog Smith Good bench imo.
  4. Given Beye Faye Cacapa Enrique Geremi Barton Butt Emre Martins Owen Emre wide left according to Fat Mick.
  5. Butt did well against Spurs but it seems we are lacking width here.
  6. Needs to work on his timing does Wor Pedro.
  7. I'm sure he knows he's making a plum of himself.
  8. Who would be the captain in Geremi's absence? Cacapa perhaps?
  9. Quoted by Mick Lowes. Viduka was injured in training apparently. Surprised Roz was dropped.
  10. Given Beye Cacapa Faye Enrique N'Zogbia Butt Geremi Milner Smith Martins Harper Owen Emre Taylor Rozehnal Confirmed.
  11. Harper didn't deserved to get dropped and he knows no matter how well he plays he'll never be first choice. His motivation must be shot to pieces and surely no one will blame him if he puts in a transfer request. Not that I don't rate Given, far from it but I think if you put the performances in you deserve to keep the shirt.
  12. Interesting decision on the keeper. Pleased cacapa is back. Might need his positional sense today. Harsh on Harper - he was fantastic against West Ham.
  13. He's injured his groin too according to today's Sun.
  14. From today's Sun: Some players are likely to be rested, though Charles N’Zogbia will surely want another chance to show the increase in quality of performance that has come with his new settled status. N’Zogbia, who created two goals and scored the other against West Ham on Sunday, signed a new deal after advice from team-mate Geremi. Cameroon star Geremi said: “It was in his mind to leave when I joined Newcastle in the summer. I asked him where he was going and he told me the club. I said ‘Don’t make that kind of mistake’. “I told him ‘Where you want to go is not good’ and that Newcastle was far better than the club he wanted to join. "I can’t tell you which club, though. I just told him to work hard and he would get a chance. Now you can see the results. He’s great.” Talking about Fulham maybe?

Mort's big cash promise Sep 23 2007 by Neil Farrington, Sunday Sun NEWCASTLE chairman Chris Mort last night promised big money for Sam Allardyce in the January transfer window . . . As they already begin to plan a worldwide talent trek in search of some of the best youngsters on the planet. Mort sanctioned nine new signings this summer, but says more are to follow. “Our minds are already turned to who we might bring in . . . and we’d like the focus to be on bringing in players that we can develop over the long term,” said the new United supremo. Meanwhile, speculation is mounting that Newcastle striker Michael Owen hopes to continue playing without a hernia operation until after England’s Euro 2008 qualifiers against Estonia and Russia next month.
