  1. I wonder what Marveaux has done to get continually ignored?

    http://twitpic.com/bo1544 I think it says right-back, centre-back and striker...
  3. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2251870/QPR-biggest-game-life-insists-Newcastle-defender-Mike-Williamson.html QPR is biggest game of my life, insists Newcastle defender Williamson By Colin Young Newcastle defender Mike Williamson says Saturday's clash against Queens Park Rangers is the biggest game of his career on Tyneside. The centre back knows how Alan Pardew's side have struggled in the Barclays Premier League this season. Newcastle are 15th and have won just two in their last 10 League games to flirt with the bottom three, where Harry Redknapp's side have been for most of the season. Newcastle face Arsenal and Manchester United over Christmas but Williamson said: 'We've had a lot of big games and QPR is right up there with the most important. The lads know that and we're solely focused on getting the win. 'It's a must-win for us and we go into every game with that mindset, but with Man U and Arsenal coming up, it's even more so. 'Last season, everyone was coming up and patting us on the back. Now they are asking us what's gone wrong. 'This is such a passionate city. They deserve to see a few more better displays. We are all working hard to try to put things right and give the fans something to cheer.'

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11678/8341150 Marseille's Loic Remy would be keen on a move to Newcastle, Sky Sports understands Loic Remy: Keen on move in January Loic Remy: Keen on move in January Sky Sports understands that Loic Remy would be keen on a move to Newcastle in January. The 25-year-old has emerged as a realistic option for Newcastle in the New Year, as the long-term future of Demba Ba remains unclear. Ba's current deal means an offer of £7.5million would be enough to take him from Newcastle. The Magpies hope Ba will sign a new deal, but they are understood to be making plans should he leave and one of those is Remy - who has previously interested Tottenham and QPR. Newcastle already have a strong French contingent and that is believed to appeal to Remy - who is keen to try his hand in England. "They are a very good team," Remy told Sky Sports when asked about Newcastle. "They are a big club with good players, very good fans and a nice stadium that is always full." Reports claim that Newcastle are already in talks with Marseille over a deal - but Remy insists he knows nothing about that. He said: "The window opens in January, and there will be speculation from now until the window closes - if I have to leave then all parties must be happy. "I have a contract so let's wait and see what happens.

Don't worry we'd be able to shift all three without any problem. Don't think ManU or the Arabs will be in for them, but they're decent pros and are on money that wouldn't deter other clubs. Thing is though, in the real world, they're about the level we can expect at Newcastle as squad back up and so may be better keeping them for that purpose. That's unless you belong in the deluded camp who think we are in a position to keep top players in cold storage up Barrack Road who will be quite content to bide their time and get some action when first choice players are injured or suspended. Providing he is replaced getting shot of Simpson would make financial sense to Llambias et al. Really want to see a CH come in personally. There were rumours of Villa being interested in Gosling a while back - I really don't think he is anything special (and injury prone) and probably only got him because he was on a free.

And the 'no s***' award for most obvious post of the year goes to a very late entry... Juvenile response

If we got rid of players such as Simpson, Williamson, Gosling etc. and replaced them with better players I am sure everyone would be happy. Not sure we could shift them though.

I am liking the final paragraph. Would certainly take Remy if Ba leaves which is looking likely.

    Alan Pardew

Can't blame him for today and I still support him but we must win against QPR - anything less and we will be in the bottom 3 and sinking fast. We just have our heads above water at the moment but I can see the tide turning if we lose next week.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Stating the obvious it is going to be harder to get results in the games he is out. Really have no-one who can change a game without him.
  12. Probably our best display of a wretched season but I think it is fair to say the QPR game is now a six-pointer.
  13. Just hope Manure beat the Mackems later on or we will slide down the league even more.
  14. As we never come back from losing positions I am guessing it will be 0-4 if Man City take it easy.
  15. If you had the choice of two players who have been linked who would you go for? Douglas and Remy for me.
