Watched the goal quite a few times, it's not immediately obvious in real-time, but if you watch it from the right angle, the volleyed pass to Miggy is utterly sublime, he actually cushions it on the volley by hitting across the ball with the outside of his foot, intended to have the ball drift and drop to him in stride. Fucking fantastic.

Man City at home that year is a bit of a favorite of mine. Smashed them 3-1, created loads and loads of chances in the sunshine. Ginola utterly unplayable, he absolutely tortured their RB, trying to recall who it was. Edgehill maybe? Ran him utterly ragged.

Watched that exact video on YT this morning with a big grin painted on my face. The two of them don't come out of that one too well.

We already did and that was before EH really got them organized and playing with resilience and team spirit.

Most of my own personal favorites already mentioned but a slightly obscure one sticks in my head. Mad game against Chelsea in 87/88 that we won 3-1 and Chelsea missed 2 penalties but most memorably, Gazza scoring one at the Gallowgate end. Time can play tricks on the memory and i've not seen it since but I recall him slaloming past 3 defenders in about 10 feet of space and hammering it into the top corner. Edit to add - Gazza scored quite a few pearlers that year, especially in a decent cup run, was probably that which convinced Spurs to buy him summer 88

Must have signed a few weeks back then

Point would have been canny really but long overdue to beat these fuckers at home like -
Not even a goalscorer really, didn't score many at Lyon anyway. To be adding goals to his all-round play is fantastic.

Yeah only reason they're not rock bottom, a few surprise away results.

Watford with their 10th consecutive home defeat, Christ

Feel a bit sorry for Norwich here, they can't defend for toffee but they've caused loads of problems attacking Man Utd. Man Utd suddenly look 50% better with that waster Pogba off the pitch.
-
Krul probably should save that
-
Could be wrong but nearly sure the Man Utd fans were singing "fuck off Pogba" as he went off there. As I type, 3-2 Man Utd, great FK and hat-trick from the slimy prick.
-
Man Utd are utter toss like, with better finishing this is 4-2 Norwich
-
VAR desperate for Pukki's eyebrow to be offside, can't have a goal against the big 6 if at all possible
-
Pukki nice goal 2-2, Man Utd
-
Arsenal in full-on useless mode 2 weeks in a row
-
Nice goal in first half injury time Norwich, 2-1
-
Ronaldo with a rapier header 2-0

He wasn't dropped, there was a covid issue apparently.
-
At least you'll know the attempts to sign him were genuine, instead of a smokescreen to keep the masses happy and sell season tickets based on nothing substantial at all

Thanks for contributing so much to the forum and keeping us updated on the lad's progress. Great to hear it all. Best of luck, hope you go up this year -
A top striker with enough quality and experience to hit the ground running is something we badly need but will cost the earth (probably 60m+, not that we won't have the funds). Huge fan of Nunez, reminds me of a pacy Berbatov and we certainly have the money, but wage structure and lack of Europe will surely hamper going after those elite types, especially in CF position. I don't know who is realistic, Isak maybe? Shick? A striker closer to home like DCL? We can't rely on Wilson, good as he is. He'd be a top partner/cover for a new forward though, especially since he only plays 20-25 games a season.

Another reason it was so absurd we convinced Bruno to move, you'd have thought CL football would have been a pre-requisite to him moving to England. Maybe the same vision would convince Teels. We can only hope, very excited to see that vision start to gain ground, this season was always about staying up and it's a borderline miracle we are where we are and can dream again.
