    The Derby XI.

ok then im probably the only person on here who might remember this but i was at joker park in the 60s and we were 3-2 down with minutes to go and we got as corner john'the beast'mcnamee ran from the half way line and it was like the parting of the red sea, every fucker from either side got out of his way corner came over and without breaking stride he powered a header into the net togeth with montgomery and a couple of defenders and the odd player from his own team. would never be allowed today but still the greatewst derby goal ive ever seen.a place for mcnamee please
  8. my mates flight was late and he missed the first 20 minutes of the villa game.he banged on the door next to the turnstile for a rew minutes until someone came.i had his ticket but they just let him in
  9. knew this would happen.wish i hadnt bothered now.if i could reveal my source i would have done it in my original post not long to wait to see if the first bit is right.patience my friend!

  14. excuse my ignorance but what is an OP and how do i view it
  15. ive been watching for over 40 years and yes ive seen a lot worse than this but ,maybe cos im either a grumpy old git or im getting wiser, ive never been so dissilusioned. im also a falcons season ticket holder andfor the first time in my life i am feeling more drawn to rugby and its all down to attitiude.the rugby lot were in deeper shit than us but they have fought there way out of it by laying there balls on the line and showing it means something to them.can anyone honestly say ourlot looked like they really cared today also, last night i happened to be in the same manchester hotel as the team.i spoke to one of the physios,no idea who,and asked him the team.when i questioned why shola was starting ahead of viduka he told me'because he(viduka)refuses to play 90 minutes' who is really running this club? i also spoke to derek wright and asked him if the lads were confident.he said yes they were and with a shrug of his shoulders said 'but they always are' i took that to mean that maybe they think they are too good to go down
  16. i still think it will end up at sjp but darlington is the alternate venue
  17. from one of the organising commitee all of the players are desperate to be involved.the only one in doubt is tino as they are unsure if he will get a visa.the club will not allow kk to be involved.phil thompson is organizing the liverpool squad.all proceeds to go to some chariity associated with the rvi.the game will be played during an international break
  18. this october the entertainers (everyone of keegans legends) wil play a charity match against a liverpool legends team.game will be live on sky and hopefully at sjp but the club are pissing the organisers about
  19. the love of my life saw him in tesco, kingston park, yesterday and felt the need to ring me on the golf course to tell me how fit he looked, but im pretty sure she meant fit as in 'sexually fit'! is this a sad reflection of her taste in men!

Without doubt the greatest player I have ever seen in black and white-thats where my name comes from!
  21. oh aye cors it is! Do you really think if i could afford Darras Hall id be wasting my life on here at this time of night! I just happen to know one of the lads who have been working there
  22. doubt that it is Harper-he just moved into a new house this weekend
  23. Rozenhal and cacapa are much higher quality than bramble/moore/gooch Geremi is obviously a quality player viduka is a helluva improvement on sibierski barton will prove to be better than parker Smith will offer a lot more than dyer ever delivered Given the constraints of the strategic review and no european football i think bsa has done an amazing job of improving our squad dramatically without spending a fortune
  24. but he's too lightweight to play there, especially when we dont have the ball, and alas nobby's days of running past him down the wing are long on.dont you maybe think he looked good then cos Nobby was so f****n brilliant.Nobby could make me look goodIm sorry but his time is up and probably was about 3 years ago
