  1. Put MON on suicide watch please. He looks miserable..
  2. Could also say if Mancini/City had handled the situation better they would be champions. Either way, they self destructed in spectacular fashion. Mancini handled it exactly how he should have imo. Tevez's fault when it all comes down to it. Mancini has lost all credibility this season, twice, by jumping the gun and saying Tevez and Balotelli would never play for the club again only to look like an idiot afterwards. Mancini should take a page of Pardew's book when it comes to not putting extra focus on these sort of things (Ba refusing the hand shake for example); he reacts in typical Italian fashion, without thinking things through and I think City owners and fans will point to exactly this when they evaluate where they lost the title to their rivals. Typical Italian fashion. True, like. He says stuff in anger too often. But Tevez refused to come on, fled and didn't come back, gave a big f*** you to his teams mates and the Man City fans and disobeyed his boss and contract. Ferguson would have laughed it off in front of the camera, kicked the player in the nuts in the dressing room and have the player firing on all cylinders two weeks later.

Lost all credibility? Aye, right. Post-match interviews balanced against numerous trophies. Does he look a confident man to you? Was talking gibberish even in his post match interview today. There's no disputing his success in Italian club management, but I don't think he has what it takes to become a great manager in this country.
  4. Holy cow man. Has the man shagged your wife or something?

  6. We'll see. I just don't trust Mancini to not crack under pressure.

  11. Absolutely nothing new in that article. Earlier in the week a completely unreliable Dutch site soccernews.nl put Inter's and Man U's name in the hat for Douglas and claimed the Daily Fail as its source. Unsurprisingly, there's nothing in there. just some made up shit if you ask me. Source (in Dutch): http://www.soccernews.nl/news/152161/Newcastle_krijgt_concurrentie_van_United_en_Inter_voor_Douglas
  12. How many chances does he need man..
  13. Yep, that's what it says, although quotes in the article only refer to Lyon, so it's safe to assume that's what would be his preference. Article also says he has a transfer release clause of 12 million, and Sochaux is unlikely to sell for less.
  14. I mentioned his name purely on the basis that if Wigan were to go down he'd be fairly cheap and he's a good player that would fit in our 4-3-3 system just as well as Ba, because it's his natural position. Also going by our club philosophy he'd have a good re-sale value too. I think this notion is flawed on a number of levels. Firstly, Wigan look like they are staying up. Secondly, he won't come cheap even if Wigan are relegated; I'd imagine you're talking 6-8 million, which isn't exactly what I'd call cheap. Thirdly, he isn't a very good player at all; his goalscoring record in the Premiership is a whopping 1 in 10 and he seems to be the type of player who needs a lot of space to run into, so he's made for teams that are predominantly under the cosh. Fourthly, I don't think he's a winger in a 4-3-3 at all, as I have seen no evidence that he is a dribbler or crosser of the ball at all. Finally, at the price we would be looking at, I don't think there's that much scope for return on investment. At best he will one day be a good Premiership striker forward maybe 10-15 million, but there's every chance he will never even reach that level. In conclusion: if we need to replace Demba Ba's contribution to the team we need a higher grade of player, and I think there are much better deals to be found abroad.
  15. Ba is 3 times the player Moses is for crying out loud.
  16. I may be naive, but I don't expect to see Ba leaving this summer.

Welcome back Besty! Good to have another option on the bench for the run-in.
