What a waste

Probably still a hefty fee and likewise wages, so unless we need him to replace a purple we’d be selling no thanks. Any money we may have available needs to go to the well known priority positions.
-
Wouldn’t have probably sold him anyway if fit
-
Why would you think that?
-
Utgh, that’s a blow. Could be more opportunities coming up for Sanusi (or Miggy…)
-
Either way we win, but I’d obviously prefer the first scenario. As I’ve said before, of all our “purples” Isak is the one I’d be most wary of losing as he’s irreplaceable, whereas I think the likes of Gordon, Bruno, Botman and even Tonali would be missed but could be replaced with similar quality players allowing to further develop the squad.
-
Sadly that wouldn’t work due to the cost of wages being spread across the contract and the same also being true for transfer fees by means of amortisation. Also the new rules are entirely about squad cost as a percentage of club revenue.

Free agent in five months time, no..?

In fairness, they are in the same bracket as Man U and Liverpool like. But then again, we are not that far off.
-
So why should Willock be in front of him if he’s hardly ever able to play at his best? Long term there can be little doubt as to who the best prospect is.
-
You are aware he didn’t look out of place against PSG either, right? Sending him out on loan while having Longstaff deputising would be idiotic. We just need to give young Lewis game time when the situation permits it.

Arsenal are toast

Jesus injured, Havertz a massive liability in front of goal. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if Arsenal offered us 250m for Isak
-
What a surprise. Almost as brittle as wor Callum, sadly
-
Should be ahead of Willock and Longstaff in the pecking order

Revenue follows sporting success though. We continue to qualify for CL and do well in the league and cups, we’ll eventually catch up in terms of revenue as well. These things are never static.
