  1. Wow, surprising. Nowt special imo.
  2. I can see Levy holding out for way more than we will want to pay.
  3. I'm not comparing. I was just suggesting we got a bit of luck, as you lamented we never get as opposed to the mackems. As for it going in, I will trust my own eyes thank you very much, I can only assume you haven't rewatched it. In fact, the Van Aanholt goal that was given to him was also a lucky deflection and it would have been well wide too, so your conclusion that if a deflected goal is given to the attacker it was on target is not necessarily true.
  4. We got a very fortunate deflection goal in extra time to grab a point against Man U just 24 hours earlier. Not sure if serious. Why? You said you hoped we would get a bit of luck sooner rather than later. Technically speaking we got a somewhat fortunate point from a lucky goal just 3 or 4 minutes ago, in terms of playing time. That Dummett shot would probably still be orbitting the earth if it didn't take that deflection. On a serious note, I watched their game yesterday and their performance deserved the 3 points easily and Swansea were a complete mess. I think it's a false argument to point to their luck whilst discarding our own (Bournemouth anyone). We're both in the bottom three because we've both been playing s***, creating very little and conceeding loads. Luck has very little to do with it. Surely Dummett's shot would've had to be on target for him to be awarded the goal? It was, that's why he's been awarded the goal. The lad's clearly trolling. You'll have to watch it again. The upward trajectory of the ball was quite visibly decreased by the deflection. Considering the distance to goal from where the deflection happened I think it's fair to conclude that the original shot would have gone over the bar comfortably.
  5. He was such a breath of fresh air when he first came in the team. Finally, after years of having imposters like Nicky Butt and Amdy Faye pretending to protect our back four and control the midfield we had stumbled upon a real enforcer. If it wasn't for his tendency to take silly cautions and his injury proneness he would no doubt have moved on upwards from us a long time ago. Eight million, if true, is probably too good to turn down for this lot considering his age and the fact he hasn't been a dependable performer for some time now, but I can't help but wondering how long before we next have somebody in that position who offers what he is capable of. Hopefully Saivet proves to be that man, or we're taking a hell of a gamble on our survival chances by letting him go mid season while in the drop zone.
  6. We'd better hope Saivet is every bit as good as we think or we could end up badly regretting this.

  8. We're making our own luck Nut, Mike said so...

  10. A luxury we can ill afford if he is to replace Tiote or one of the chuckle brothers in (defensive) central midfield.
  11. Looks like we're starting to bear the fruits of our new, innovative policy of appointing the head coach on the board to form a magic transfer summit triumvirate. How did we end up with a player the head coach clearly didn't want and who cost us an arm and a leg?
  12. They also conceeded the softest ever penalty yesterday
  13. yeah but is that an allardyce survival mode thing? when he's fighting i always feel like his teams get results against s***/average teams not against the top few in the division Fair point, but I wouldn't write them off until they're mathematically down based on the last few seasons. We'd better drag ourselves out of relegation trouble quickly because I would back their lot over ours in that kind of pressure situation any day.
  14. Performances, or at least unlikely results against the bigger teams are what have kept them up the last couple of seasons
  15. Another great result from Leicester. Hope they keep it up until the very end.
  16. Bit harsh, especially considering the surface
  17. Erm, aren't you forgetting someone? If you mean Villa, they are down already like Mackems are not even buying anyone of note it seems.. Sorry mate, misread you post.
  18. Call my Pardew but I want the player furthest back on the pitch on the right hand side to have a modicum of defensive ability. I agree this type of player is more suited to teams who like to play a possession game. I've seen people clamouring for Jethro Willems, he's exactly the same type.
  19. Get away man, he's s****. All true. He's worse defensively than Santon, and he was poor. He's miles better going forward like. He's a proper wing back, not too much unlike Janmaat actually. So he's s*** then. If you don't understand the wing back role, yes indeed he is.
