Milan make it 1-0

A very young PSV side make an impressive start vs AC Milan. Hope they do it.

Like this idea, but Levy vs Ashley would never work. That could be a goer tbh, he's been underwhelming. Can't see him going for less than what he cost us though... Next!

Not bothered in the slightest. We've been activily touting him, so must have a solid fallback plan in place.. -

my main hope is that when he moves he comes out and publicly slates pardew as the reason for leaving, it might wake a few f***ers up That would be great. Aye never happens like i know I fail to see how one of our best players leaving and slating the club/manager on his way out can be construed as "great", but that may just be me.. Nope, with you on this one. I'm not with you. The only chance of these f***ers leaving is if people actually make a fuss, whether it be the fans, the players, the ex-players. Someone has to actually speak up and make people pay attention to just how disgracefully we're being ran as a club. Aye, under normal circumstances I'd prefer him to keep his gob shut in public. Never really been a fan of airing grievances in public. However, this boil needs to be lanced. Don't see how it would be in any way helpful besides making us a laughing stock even more than we already are. -

Levy man. I'd take no signings for 2 consecutive windows and a 17th finish if he could be ours. What's he going to do on our shoestring budget?
-
Apparently they sold it back in the day..

SSN just said we flew to France today for talks with Cabaye's representatives What a shambles (if true).. Pourquoi? Well, why fly to them rather than have them come to us if the player they represent has a problem? There is also the small matter of another match coming up in a few days and analysis of yesterday's shambles. I'd imagine Pardew could be doing more important things right now than travelling to the South of France to talk to some football agents.. May just be me though..

Ba and him had moments in the match where they changed positions, so both played left wing at times. I don't remember either of them looking anything special though. Put it this way then, Cisse looked a lot better then than he does now. Undoubtedly.

I have no doubt he would look better in a free flowing team that creates many chances, although I don't think his finishing is good enough for a team of that level. For a team like ours, we need a striker who can hold the ball up, contribute to our attacking play and create chances for himself and midfielders that come forward. Both Carroll and Ba were capable of these things much more than Cisse appears to be. I'm afraid he is not the right fit for us at all. Edit: what KaKa said basically..
-
Hope he's alright. As limited as he is we can't afford any serious injuries with our lack of squad depth.
-
Dear me.. Reading between the lines he was desperate to come here but we just weren't bothered until it was too late.
-
Defensively Simpson was at least passable. On the evidence since he's joined us, Debuchy is a massive liability as soon as an attacker comes running at him. Simpson backed off too much, but Debuchy is the opposite: loves to have a late lunge when he's already beaten for speed and give away daft fouls (penalties). He could have cost us five goals single handedly tonight.

Worst full back performance I can ever remember from a NUFC player since I started following the club. Absolutely woeful.
-
I don't want to be overly harsh on him as we nearly failed to a man tonight, but his hold up play is non existent. We're absolutely desperate for a Gomis type.
