Who'd play left-back in our combined XI then?
  2. Has MON lost his mind!? That looks like two full backs at full back..
  3. Not if that number 22 takes it. Easy to say with hindsight.
  4. If what you're saying is true about being starved for chances, we don't need another striker in the same mould at all, we would need a creative player who is also capable of chipping in with a fair number of goals and play as a centre forward if required, or we would just be looking at the same problem, possibly worsened by the temptation to play both up top. Not that I believe that Cisse's disappointing season can solely be attributed to a lack of service of course. For some reason, his chance conversion rate this season is nowhere to what it was last season. Maybe he is also getting fewer chances, but when he gets one he generally snatches at it way too much. Anyway, he has been scoring more as of late, so I hope he continues in this vein and this sorry season can quickly be forgotten about.
  5. Maybe a striker who's completely reliant on service from others is a luxury we can't afford, just a thought.
  6. Get in! They're all getting back to fitness for the vital run in.
  7. Imagine if he played this weekend man..
  8. Fortunately I no longer work for an accounting firm. These days I work in investment, so I tend to concentrate on the "big picture" rather than the detail I see, so in investment misinterpreting a billion for a million is no biggy.. Just pulling your leg mate..
  9. Remind me which accounting firm you work for again..? I am just a small business man, but if I can get away with taking out over 10 times my turnover without my accountant noticing, hey ho!
  10. WTF Yup. Twas Freddie and Co's final year in the trough. http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQPZAAXIq0YkBjLdKhQ-xuk-8Ce9F8tVHTC1kh4ATKb-zfm6JWD Yes - the club was bought in the summer of 2007 and that remuneration went to the Shepherds and the Halls. An amount of more than one billion and sixty one million Great British Pounds doesn't sound suspiciously high to you?
  11. Ah, thought it might have been Mort. Presume the next years drop was because the Mort and Freshfields million+ came from some other section then and we had no Director as such? Err, that table Rebellious posted says it's over a billion.. Edit: unless this is neesy's currency..

  13. Good set of results, especially in light of the huge losses the competition are posting, but I'm a bit surprised by the increase in wages to turnover percentage. I expected it to be closer to, or just below 60% (at least before the January influx). Didn't Lambiass refer to our wage to turnover ratio being very healthy not so long ago, or did I make that up?

Genuinely don't know who this is? Am I missing someone really obvious? Wayne Rooney
  15. In season international under 21 friendlies can fuck right off tbh

    Papiss Cissé

I don't think of Ba as a particularly lazy player at all. Not much in it iyam.

    Papiss Cissé

Hes only 5 or so goals off last seasons tally with 8 leagues left and other euorpean games to play in. Is that compared to last year's half season with us? Edit: not even that considering he only started playing for us after his return from the ACON. Last years half season when we were playing well and had Cabaye, Ben Arfa and Ba for that whole period. Is that the same Ba that many on here argued was detrimental to Cisse's natural game? Look, I don't think it can be denied Cisse has not hit the heights of last season's form by any stretch of the imagination this season..?
