He's not particularly good in the air on today's evidence. Noticed that, thought he would be canny in the air considering his size and build tbh. Cant really complain considering hes a god He was impressive in the air vs Villa in the first half, so don't think that's a weakness in particular. He seems very all round excellent.

You expect a wide player/midfielder to chip in with 10 goals before you consider them decent squad members? Well, I guess we have different expectations? His crossing was atrocious you say? Did you miss his left footed cross that was perfect for Cisse on the near post? He's not just a grafter, don't see why people convince themselves he is, just because he's the new scapegoat.. It's really his crossing that's the problem though mate, he must have hit the first man with half a dozen crosses as i'm watching the game back now. You can't just pick out one good one from that lot. His job is as a winger, if he gets his crossing better then he plays and deserves too, everything else, workrate, teamwork etc warrants it. How many good crosses did our other players put in, or the Chelsea players for that matter? Crosses is always a numbers game. Agreed, Jonas is not very good at it, but he has other qualities that make him valuable as a squad member at the very least, and sometimes he does come up with a good cross/finish. Again, I'm not advocating starting him ahead of the likes of Marveaux or Ben Arfa, I just get annoyed when people say we should just let him go for free as he is completely useless nowadays, which he clearly isn't.

You said he was as useless as Alan Smith was last season, he's proved you wrong within a week or so and your still feel the need to be negative. Not saying he's worthy of a first team place, but he definitely adds something to our squad, especially in games like this against strong opposition. As for the people saying his crossing was the only thing letting him down today. he did put in the best cross of the match. He proved me right the day after at villa. I'm happy to be proven wrong but Its one game in about a year. Be nice to see it happen again but in not holding my breath, but saying that I felt the fire from him today and even at villa where he was dreadful, he wanted it and tonight I worry a little less about Jonas. Right What? He did ok vs Villa. Nothing spectacular, but still a fair way better than Alan Smith ever managed for us in his last season. Jonas is a useful squad member, why do you have a problem facing up to this?
