From the vision for that lobbed ball to (an onside) Cisse and that through ball for the assist vs Villa, the composure for those two finishes today, the tracking back (almost blocked Lampard's shot), the holding the ball up and winning headers at will, the pace and stamina to go passed anybody (Cole FFS), to having the movement and skills to be dangerous from the left, right and centre. Based on just two matches, I don't think there's anything this man can't do. Best signing ever.

Aye, good writeup Beren. The only thing I disagree with is the "same old Pardew at the start of the second half" sentiment. I don't think we sat back, as we didn't operate noticeably different from the first half, it's just we got beat by two fantastic moments of individual brilliance. I was worried it might happen, and I can understand why people said it was happening because of how we conceded twice inside the first 15 minutes of the second half, but I think if you actually looked at our play it was merely a coincidence, and Pardew deserves a lot of credit for the way we were set up today.
